- The Bellagio Casino & Resort, Las Vegas -
We open up on the private suite of Chris Casino and find him lounging on his leather sofa, watching the so called stars of NAPW butcher the English language with their promos. Dressed in a stylish Hugo Boss suit, he grins as he scribbles another name onto the legal pad in front of him. He glances at the camera and uses his remote to turn off his plasma screen TV. Playing softly in the background we can hear Billie Holiday singing "Good Morning Heartache"
Casino: Well, looks like we have ourselves a tournament. Of the eight men entered, we have a former NAPW Heavyweight Champion, a former two time Provincial Champion and two men who have held the NAPW Tag Team Championship. We also have some of the biggest up and comers, the next generation of NAPW stars, entered into the NAPW Canadian Cup Challenge.
All of us want the same thing. Power, respect and of course a guaranteed title shot at any title we choose. Let's take a brief look at who will be a part of this history making event.
* Ravager - A former two time NAPW Provincial Champion and the current #1 contender to the NAPW Heavyweight Title. His choice to enter this tournament was simple. To make sure I that don't win.
* Cameron Scott - 1/2 of the team known as the Dudes. He's a former co-holder of the NAPW Tag Team Championship and looks to make a mark his as a singles wrestler.
* Rex Caliber - Another co-holder of the NAPW Tag team Championship. His partner was Static in the team called "The Crimes." This is Calibers big shot at breaking out and making a name for himself.
* Maniac - The self proclaimed "most unpredictable son of a bitch in the game." However he is on quite a roll so I look foreword to seeing him in the ring. Hopefully against myself.
* Moose - Who would have guessed it? At one time the laughingstock of NAPW made a huge return to the promotion just the other night. I'll be keeping a close eye on you Moose.
* Lobo - An associate of Terry Brandon. He's also some sort of Olympic Champion if I heard him right. Would that be the Special Olympics Lobo?
* Karl Van Heldon - A total unknown. All I can say is the guy is from Germany. They make great cars in Germany.
And finally....
* Myself, Chris Casino - Former NAPW Heavyweight Champion. Take a look kids, I'm the guy to beat in this thing. I refuse to let any of you mooks walk away with $100 grand of my own money, the trophy AND the shot at any title you want. I didn't come up with this concept only to crash and burn in the first round.
Speaking of which, while I helped put together this little party, NAPW is in control of who faces who in the first round. I have no clue who my round opponent will be, none of you do. So prepare fro anyone or anything. This tournament will separate the boys from the men.
Casino smiles his trademark smile and leans back in his couch.
Casino: And D!, don't you worry. Once I win this thing, you'll be firmly in my sights. So keep my title warm won't you?
With that we fade to black.
