ACT III, SCENE III
(Lights up, but only just. There's been a quick scene change. The ring apron now reads NAPW JOKER'S WILD, and the backdrop is now black save a neon light that says "CASINO." hanging in the back. In the center of the ring... a ladder. Over it, the NAPW Tag Titles. MIKE and CAM stand nervously in the ring, looking up at the belts.)
(The lights rise fully, and we hear a bell ring. Cam and Mike both head for a corner, while "The Crimes," FIXER and HATCHET, and "The Dudes," LITTLE MIKE and LITTLE CAM, also enter from opposite sides.)
(MUSIC! "Showdown! Rat Pack Redux." The orchestra plays a dance number fitting of a finale. The six actors begin a well choreographed wrestling match/dance number. Fixer and Little Mike lock up. Hatchet and Cam circle the ladder menacingly. Mike and Little Cam both leave the ring to brawl/dance outside on the stage. The music begins to swell! Cam is knocked out of the ring! So is Little Mike! FIXER AND HATCHET CLIMB FOR ALL THEIR WORTH! They reach out for the belts... the music swells to a climax! Lighting change! WAYNE and TIFFANY hit the ring running and PUSH THE LADDER OVER! Fixer and Hatchet spill, expertly groining themselves on the rope. The music to "Rat Pack" begins playing.)
(The music shifts again, this time to "New and Improved!" as Tiffany and Wayne right the ladder. Cam and Mike scramble back into the ring, with both "The Dudes" and "The Crimes" in persuit. They begin climbing the ladder... slowly... PAINFULLY... as the music builds! Fixer and Hatchet are on one side of the ladder, Little Mike and Little Cam on the other! They start fighting back and forth with the ladder, pushing it too and fro... but it's not enough! CAM AND MIKE GRAB THE TITLES!)[/i]
(At the top of the ladder, Mike and Cam pose like gods! Their opponents sink to their knees... possibly in sorrow... possibly in awe. Wayne and Tiffany applaud from ringside, all smiles. The music goes into full swing, never having really stopped, as we head into the home stretch! It's time for the "Finale," and the DANCING GIRLS hit the stage again. The whole cast is out for this one.)
(The music slows and swells! THIS IS IT!!!)
(Pose! The audience applauds WILDLY as the cast take their bows! Mike and Cam give a shout out to the tech crew in the booth, and the band. A bundle of roses is tossed to Tiffany, who grins and waves. Everyone looks like a million bucks, the grand red curtain sweeps closed and the scene fades out as the crowd chants for an encore.)
(Lights down.)[/i]
