We fade up to a shot of a full moon. Then suddenly the dark figure of a large man leaps over the camera. We turn to see what it was, and see The Predator leap a roof gap and land nimbly on his feet before taking off running.
PREDATOR's VOICE OVER - People wonder why I do the things I do, without considering the obvious.
The Predator leaps another roof gap, and takes off keeping low.
PREDATOR's VOICE OVER - What the obvious is, is up to you to decide.
He clears another roof gap, and takes off. He comes to a dead end; a much larger building looms overhead. He shrugs his shoulders and leaps his highest, grabs the stiff, rough bricks, and climbs his way up.
PREDATOR's VOICE OVER - You might think that after losing three times in a row to a pack of dirty sewer rats might do things to you.
Predator pauses for a moment to clutch his painful, bloody, bandaged chest.
PREDATOR's VOICE OVER - It might make you do things like, well, climb up walls and leap across the roofs of buildings.
Nearly to the top, he grabs the bricks ahead of him, and slingshots his way to the top of the roof, landing rather silently on his feet.
PREDATOR's VOICE OVER - I do what I do because I have a choice. Not because of anger, frustration, misery, or fear. These are all merely words to me.
Predator leaps another roof gap, and slowly walks over to the edge of the building. He steps up on the ledge, and looks at the ground. A slight slip and he's done for. The ground could quite possibly be two or three miles away.
The cold January wind sends chills down our spines, but not Predator. He seems focussed on something. Too focussed to care about long drops or sudden stops, even death.
PREDATOR's VOICE OVER - When I think about the things said by a certain World Heavyweight Champion, it gets me wondering: 'Could it be true?'.
He leans his head back and takes a deep breath.
PREDATOR's VOICE OVER - When I think about death, or pain, or suffering I do not think of losing important matches, or even, say, falling off a building. What I think about, is the actual feeling.
He clutches his chest.
PREDATOR's VOICE OVER - Pain . . .
He looks at the millions of passing cars so far below.
PREDATOR's VOICE OVER - Death . . .
He shakes his head.
PREDATOR's VOICE OVER - These words mean nothing to me. I will continue on. I will attain what I have worked so hard to achieve. When I see D! try with all of his might to retain something so important to him, but remains unsuccessful . . .
Predator looks to the bright stars.
PREDATOR's VOICE OVER - Look at those stars. So far away yet they seem so close. That is D!'s title to him. So close, and yet so far. When I see people like Chris Casino take things that are so precious to other people, I don't see success . . .
He looks down at the street.
PREDATOR's VOICE OVER - I see failure . . .
He takes a teep breath, and walks backwards. The camera remains posed on the edge of the building, and the long drop that lay ahead.
PREDATOR's VOICE OVER - When I see people like Chris Casino holding something so dear to other people, and claiming it as his own like it was meant to be his, it not only breaks my heart . . .
We then see The Predator leap off of the roof and dive down to meet his death.
PREDATOR's VOICE OVER - What it does, is give me a chance to make a decision. Whether I should chose to let someone like . . . him . . . keep that title for himself, and leave the whole world without a worthy champion . . .
He somer saults in the air and lands on a window-washing platform before leaping onto another one and flips backwards plummeting to the earth. He then flips in the air and lands on his feet in the middle of the street.
PREDATOR's VOICE OVER - Or take the chance that was given and become the number one contender for the title, wait for D! to either fail or succeed, and make another decision . . .
Predator leaps up again and catches a low-flying helicopter as it flies down the street. He then lets go and lands on another rooftop.
PREDATOR's VOICE OVER - The decision? If D! wins, I will give away my title offer to someone who really deserves it, or someone who will at least fight fair . . .
He takes off running, again, and leaps across another three gaps before continuing his internal monologue.
PREDATOR's VOICE OVER - However, if D! loses, I will take my chance to rid that imbescile of that title once and for all.
He stops on a rooftop. The camera closes up on the back of his head.
PREDATOR's VOICE OVER - So what I am trying to say, to all involved in that gauntlet match on Monday . . .
He whips his head around to meet the camera's gaze.
PREDATOR - The Hunt has Begun.
We fade to black.
PREDATOR's VOICE OVER - People wonder why I do the things I do, without considering the obvious.
