We see a shot of Axel Jaxx, walking away from the ring Monday Night. He stares at his hands. The frame is frozen. We hear Ravager but don't see him.
What are you looking for Axel? Are you looking for the reason you lost? Are you looking for the edge it takes to be a champion in this business? Or are you looking for an excuse as to why you haven't won? You won't find it in your hands Axel. You'll find it here.
Jump cut to Axel missing his moonsault on J.C Cook, leading to Cook hitting the Pressure Cooker.
Letting your anger cloud your mind. Going for the big finish when you should be working on the second act, building suspense, introducing plot twists, developing characters. But you were so excited to get to the startling conclusion, that you didn't develop the rest of the story. Let me tell you a story Axel. I call it "Our Match on Monday Night"
Once upon a time there were two wrestlers. One was a former champion, coming off a frustrating loss to a worthy, yet psychotic, opponent. The other was an up and coming superstar who had yet to catch a break in his first matches. They met in the ring. They fought. The former champ was impressed by the rookie's enthusiasm, but in the end, the rookie wanted too much too soon. He wanted to win at all costs, and if he rushed a bit to get ahead, so be it. But the former champ, ah yes, he had the experience to know that you have to be patient. He'd learned the hard way that letting your anger cloud your mind only leads to your shoulders pinned to the mat. And the veteran used these lessons to get a hard fought win. And that win, lead to another win at Joker's Wild, which will lead to a World Title shot. And soon, the former champ, will become a current champ. And those who can accept that will live happily ever after. And those who can't...
Cuts to clips of Ravager delivering the super brainbuster to Moose Miller, Bill Fleming, Technique; the dragon suplex to Bobby O'Brady, Joey Malone, Moose, Misery; using the staple gun on Minstrel, hitting Static with the light tubes, and later the elbow drop off the bleachers.
Well, I guess their story won't have a happy ending.
Screen goes black.
