Let's Get This Party Started!

(Lights up. It is early morning in downtown Edmonton. The sun hasn't risen quite yet, the traffic is still light, and it's unseasonably warm - there's no real snow to speak of. Perhaps Chris Casino brought some Vegas weather with him. Perhaps not. The camera swings around from the downtown shot to reveal the Baccarat Casino. It is still lit up in the early dawn light, looking regal amidst it's empty parking lot. TIFFANY MACINTYRE walks into the shot, dressed lightly, but warmly, and holding a cup of Tim Horton's Coffee.)

TIFFANY: Good morning. Have a good night's rest? If you're a member of the Crimes... I imagine you did. If you're a member of D-X... maybe not.

(Tiffany chuckles and sips her coffee.)

TIFFANY: Kyle Roberts and Bruce Richards. How are you feeling now, I wonder? Cheated? Robbed? Good. It gets better.

(Tiffany waves her arm toward the casino.)

TIFFANY: You see, last week, after you cheated the Dudes out of their NAPW Tag Team Championship, we all went to Commissioner Winchell's office and asked about the possibility of a rematch. As it happened, he was one step ahead of us. He explained that he had already decided to book a match for the Tag Team Championship at Joker's Wild. It would be The Dudes versus whomever won at the following MNF.

He may have expected D-X to win. After all, when the going gets tough, you guys cheat. You aren't exactly able to win a FAIR fight, now are you? So in his mind, he was booking the rematch everyone wanted to see.

But things didn't work out that way, did they?

Yes. The Dudes screwed you out of the titles. They did it to ensure that The Crimes would be going to Joker's Wild in a title defense. They did it at MY direction, because they might be slackers... but I'm not...

(Tiffany lets that hang for a second. Then she sighs and smiles.)

TIFFANY: And they felt terrible.

(Tiffany sips her coffee.)

TIFFANY: They really are good guys, and they really do enjoy the competition. They love the sport of professional wrestling. They want to be in the most memorable matches, and face the toughest opponents. They want to give the fans what they deserve... and stooping to YOUR level on Monday Night Fights wasn't what they felt the fans deserved.

Even if it may have been what the fans WANTED.

(She smiles again.)

TIFFANY: So, after MNF, feeling terrible for doing what YOU would have done, The Dudes returned to Commissioner Winchell's office and asked that you guys be given THEIR spot at Joker's Wild. A fair title rematch, versus The Crimes.

(Tiffany goes to leave. Then stops, and returns.)

TIFFANY: Oh, however, they ARE the number one contenders for the titles. And you DID screw them two weeks ago. Don't imagine for a second that they forgot all of that. So they took the liberty of seeing that they were ALSO booked into that match.

So, in a few short weeks, when the Baccarat Casino hosts Joker's Wild, the fans will get what they deserve. A TRIPLE THREAT Tag Team Championship match.

The Crimes vs. The New and Improved D-X vs. The Dudes.

(Tiffany smiles and leaves. Then, abruptly she returns.)

TIFFANY: Oh... and those Gastown belts are sure nice.

(Lights down!)
