Scene opens as "The Show" Chad Kurtis has just finished running a two-mile marathon to benefit St.Jude's Hospital. He is enjoying his Fuji water, his beverage of choice as he is approach by his training team...
Axl: Good workout, Chad. Just remember to keep moving. I mean we don't want you to cramp up.
Show: C'mon man this ain't the first marathon I've ran. I feel good. Like I could run another, but now my focus is on the battle royale. I mean it's time to show North Carolina and everyone else how serious "The Show" and "The Bluegrass Mafia" are!
Will: I know you have this who sense of giving back to the community thing going, Chad, but do you really think it was a good idea to run a marathon this close to showtime?!
Show: You know when I show the sign-up sheet for this marathon I just knew I had to be part of it. First I thought I would just write a check, but then I decided that wasn't enough. I mean I run a 1 mile steeplechase twice a day, so a 2 mile marathon was a piece of cake!
Axl: Since Will brought it up don't you think it's time for you to focus on the royale? I mean you are facing some pretty good competition, and it seems everyone is gunning for you!
Show: Don't worry my friend I am focused on the royale. I mean even though some of my opponents seem confused, "The Show" is focused. I mean Are Santiago and Sakai on the same page or not. Where did Zellor get his information about me not being part of NAPW anymore? Where has Modo Whoa! been? What is up with "Assman"? I mean these are all questions I could be worried about, but bottom line is I don't let any of this stuff affect me! I am just going in this match focused on the "W" and looking forward to my shot at the Carolina's Championship.
Axl: This is what I like to see. I mean everyday you seem to get closer to the dominate wrestler you once was. The wrestler who earned the nicknames, "the innovator of offense" and "the true PTPer". I think it's time for Rebel and NAPW locker rooms and fans to be ready for anything when you climb in the ring.
Will: Let's not get carried away, chief, I mean Chad has been on a little losing streak of 2 matches now, and he is facing some stiff competition in the royale. I mean what do you see different in Chad today then 3 weeks ago?!
Show: Let me take this one. First of all it's something around the eyes. I mean "The Show" looks and acts hungry! Then there's the motivation, and focus factor! Plus we can't forget the simple fact is skill wise "The Show" is the man to beat in this match!
Axl: Enough said. I do think. I mean I noticed the difference during the NAPW provincial title unification match when he did the CK finale off the ladder. I mean it was like the old show had returned. Like he had been holding back and now was time for his return!
Show: I agree with that. I mean since I been in NAPW and Rebel something had been holding me back. I mean in the back of my head I was thinking am I still good enough to perform at the level I need to be at? Did I still have the timing to do all the high flyin', high risk moves that give me victory after victory and earn me fans? To be blunt was I still "the innovator of offense", "the true PTPer", was I still "The Show"? When I beat Darko for the television title that was start of return then my match against "LDK" proved to me I still have what it take to be the best of the best!
Will: Okay, I am now a believer. I mean "The Show" is back and in full force.
Show: So let everyone on the NAPW and Rebel rosters been warned that when you step in the ring against "The Show" it's time to raise your game or feel the shame!
Scene fades as "The Show" and his posse load up in his H3 and drive away toward Raleigh.
