Promo begins as Johnny Beautiful decides to leave Canada and check up on "The Bluegrass Mafia" and Rebel as he comes to Frank Bassett Road in Durham NC he is meet by a road closed sign as he pulls he car over he noticed that Wade Stadium and Frank Bassett Road are closed for "Bluegrass Mafia" block party. JB gets out of his car and joins the party...
Fan (Sporting the new "Everyone loves a Kentucky Boy/"Bluegrass Mafia" block party 2007 t-shirt): Hey man, you better get you one of this shirts before they are all gone. I mean the mafia is just giving them away to the fans!
Female fan (Wearing the new "I am down with the mafia" baby-T): I mean Chad, Matt, and Lyndsey have went all out. I mean most good guy wrestlers say they loved the fans, but the mafia is showing it.
SB (pondering this thought as he continues to walk around): I guess that about the truest statement I have heard in awhile. I mean everyone understands that it is the fans that make wrestling possible, but the mafia is some of the few I know that actually gives back.
"The Show" Chad Kurtis spots SB as he is finishing up on the grill with the burgers/sausages, so he walks over and gets he old buddy.
Show: SB, you want brings you to NC. I mean you said once FCW folded you wasn't ever leaving Canada, again.
SB: Things are kind of boring what now in Canada without NAPW being around, plus I heard you guys and Rebel are shaking thing up down here so I thought I would check it out first hand.
Show: It's true what that say about Rebel shaking thing up a bit. I mean it like the party that rocks your body, and "The Bluegrass Mafia" is who rocks the party. I mean what I am saying, is "The Bluegrass Mafia" rocks the party that rocks your body!
Matt and Lyndsey join SB and Chad about half way through Chad's little ramblings as the crowd begins to thin out a little as it starts to sprinkle.
SB: I not exactly sure what that all means, but I have heard good things about Rebel.
Matt: What Chad was trying to say was Rebel is the hottest new indy going right now, and "The Bluegrass Mafia" is leading the way!
Lyndsey: Something like that anyway. It just always seems a little hipper when it comes from "The Show".
Show: Yeah, Matt don't hate the player hate the game. But, on a serious note I have enjoyed the whole Rebel experience. I just wish we would have got a "W" in week one.
Lyndsey: Yeah, I got a good feeling about Rebel, but I can't wait to get back to Canada, too. I mean the fans are so great in both places.
Matt: I agree with Lyns, I mean "The Big Blue Nation" spreads across Canada, North Carolina, and beyond. But, it ain't all fun and games for "The Big Cat Daddy". I mean NAPW and Rebel are getting ready to witness the awakening of the monster. From now on when I am between the ropes in the squared circle it's going to be like caging an animal, and we all know how that works out!
Show: What my colleagues are trying to say is "Everyone is down with the Mafia" everywhere we go. And we ain't going to disappoint our fans. I mean with me and Matt we have the best of both worlds. The skill and the muscle. The power and glory if you will!
Matt and Lyndsey excuse themselves for the conversation as they notice a bus full of fans from Ballard Co., KY just arriving at the block party.
SB: Okay, I get you are having fun wrestling in two feds that stress different things. I mean NAPW is more traditional and Rebel is more new age, but let's get candid for a minute and talk about your match-up this week against Modo Whoa!, Assman, Clint Zellor, Santiago, and Sakai.
Show: What do you want to know. You want to know how I have watched hours of tape and added a steeplechase to my training routine to prepare for this match. Do you want to know how much this "W" would mean to "The Show". What exactly do you want to know. I mean you know me well enough to know that I am going in to this match fully prepared physically, mentally, and emotionally.
SB: You made a good point, but what I really want to know is do you think you are the favorite going into this match and if so how does that help/hurt your chance of winning?
Show: I don't know if I am the favorite going into this match. I mean I have lost two matches in a roll. I mean true both losses were controversial, but still. To tell you the truth I like to think I am the favorite in any match I go into that way the pressure my opponents put on me, never out weighs the pressure I have on myself! But favorite or not it doesn't change the way I prepare for my matches. I still get up every morning at 3 to do 2 hours of cardio followed by 2 hours of weight training before going to Wade Stadium for my steeplechase, and all that before lunch, and we can't forget about the sparring and then the cycle repeats. It's true "The Show" does more before 9 AM then most people do all day!
SB: I guess that's just "The Show" trying to be all he can be?
Show: Hey now, let's leave the catch phrases up to "The Show". I mean that how I roll. But, anyway I need to get back to the party, 'cause their ain't no party like a "Bluegrass Mafia" party!
Scene fades as "The Show" Chad Kurtis walks over to a mob of fans and begins signing autographs and posing for pictures.
"The Angry American" Matthew Kurtis and Lyndsey Valentine were used with permission.
