[fade up]
Forgotten thoughts of yesterdays,
Through my eyes, I see the past,
But I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, why.
(Clip: The Immortal sitting at a desk reading newspapers. One of them reads: Man? Or Myth?)
I believe, I believe, I believe in the truth from inside.
Go away, go away, go away from me. Leave me alone.
(Clip: The Immortal walking down a street in Japan. There, he meets Khaos.)
Ignorance spreads lies.
(Clip: The Immortal rescuing a young girl from a gang of muggers in New York City.)
How much will money buy?
(Clip: The Immortal observing ancient Greek Mythology in a museum.)
Well, I'll take my time.
(Clip: The Immortal meets with relatives and sees pictures of his mother and father, in which his father's face is cut out.)
As I drift and die.
[cut out]
The Immortal walks down a dark Calgary street. The same street he was last seen walking down. Nothing has changed. Homeless people line the streets, the smell of burning gasoline and wet pavement fills the air, the sound of cats being chased by dogs is easily perceived, and The Immortal's steel blue eyes cut holes through our very souls.
::Immortal:: What the hell is going on? I traveled the world, met with relatives I didn't know existed, found out I have a father who is alive today, and yet nothing is different. Who the hell am I?
The Immortal continues to walk down the street, and comes across a familiar bench. The old woman has gone, but we have two guesses as to where she is. The Immortal suddenly remembers the junkyard he grew up in.
::Immortal:: Perhaps . . . if I return to the very place I discovered my inhuman ability, I can find some answers . . .
The Immortal runs to his car, starts it, and zooms off in the direction of his junkyard.
