Atlanta finally makes the play-offs, but the Rangers have started coming together and are serious about getting far in this thing.


Pittsburgh over Ottawa in 6
Sid The Kid and his posse send Ottawa out early yet again. Watch for huge changes to the Sens next year.


Detroit over Calgary in 7
Calgary just hasn't been able to win on the road or put enough together to beat high-flying Detroit. That said, it'll be a tough series but in the end the Flames let their awesome goalie down.


Minnesota over Anaheim in 7
Can the Wild shut-down Anaheim's shut-down defense of Pronger and Neidermayer? Yes. Lemaire's team takes Minny into round two and kicks Anaheim out.


Vancouver over Dallas in 5
Does anybody even see Roberto Luongo losing four games out of seven? Anybody? Not to Dallas. They barely shoot as it is, they ain't doing nothing to Luongo.


San Jose over Nashville in 6
Nashville gets two, but Thornton, Cheechoo, Marleau et all wipe 'em out.

New Jersey (2) vs Tampa Bay (7): tampa's tempting, but "devils in six" is always a safe choice.

Atlanta (3) vs NY Rangers (6): i don't know, but i'm rooting for the rangers in seven.

Ottawa (4) vs Pittsburgh (5): thinking that the nhl is gonna let sid the kid go down like a punk. pens in six.


WESTERN CONFERENCE

Detroit (1) vs Calgary (8): the wings made moves solely for the playoffs. that firepower they got should be enough to beat the kipper... in seven.

Anaheim (2) vs Minnesota (7): the flying V takes it in five.

Vancouver (3) vs Dallas (6): luongofest. nucks in six.

Nashville (4) vs San Jose (5): now this... is intriguing. i think whoever wins this series will go to the cup. and i think the sharks will win it in seven.
