TNA and NWA have been working on ending their working relationship and the ramifications could begin as early as the TNA PPV this Sunday. Ending the relationship means that the NWA will take back their World and Tag Team Title belts, and that TNA will need to create new belts.
It also means that TNA will no longer be able to reference the NWA history as a way to add lineage and credibility to their World and Tag Team Titles.
The main problem with the working agreement has been that TNA has not been following many of the rules that the NWA has regarding using their name and titles. The main one being that NWA requires to know in advance when a title is going to change hands. TNA has not been notifying them of this.
A split has been expected for awhile which is why TNA stopped using NWA in their name a long time ago (TNA was initially known as NWA-TNA).
The original partnership took place because Jerry Jarrett thought that having the NWA name tied with the TNA name would give the new promotion instant credibility for their weekly PPVs (TNA started as a PPV-exclusive promotion).
This isn't anything new. ECW also broke away from the NWA back in 1994 with a famous promo by Shane Douglas that established the new ECW belt.
End of Article
TNA should make the X Division title the main belt, and create a new tag team and another secondary division. Anyone else agree?

THey need two hours before adding another title in. Tag, X and Heavyweight. The X title is a conundrum. X is a "style", not a weight limit, but it means it's not a viable "intercontinental" secondary belt. So guys like Rhino especially are in limbo.
But really you don't NEED titles to have good feuds. ROH has proven that.
Eh. TNA needs to get two hours, fire Russo, and stop sucking period. The NWA is better off without them.

I have a feeling.
1. Samoa Joe will win the NWA title.
2. Samoa Joe will throw the NWA belt down on the mat or into a trash can.
3. Samoa Joe will than proceed to declare himself The TNA world champion.
Wrestling history has a way of repeating itself.

This is somewhat off topic to the main subject of this post, however it is relevant to TNA in general.

-- This past week Goldberg stated that due to his age he would never fight but is still open for a return to the wrestling world, in TNA, if the offer is right. He also said that TNA has yet to offer him the “right offer.” Previous negotiations were not up to par, by his standards.
-- It appears that AJ Styles and Rhino are very concerned about their match this Sunday at Destination X. The width of the platform, which they will be wrestling on, is only 20 inches. The platform is so narrow that one false move could result in a big fall.

I like the idea of Elevation X as I was always a fan of old school scafold matches, but this looks really dangerous, especially the fact that it moves, and the last thing TNA needs right now is a big accident on a PPV, something tells me theya re already going for a big bump shock value already, but I'm almost afraid to watch this. I kind of think they should ahve went with two smaller guys for this. Rhino is a big dude to be up on a spinning 20in wide platform.

Stupid gimmick. 20 inches. And they stick Rhyno up there.
If Joe rehashes the Shane Douglas bit, TNA truly has their heads up their asses. I mean, Joe a few months ago talked about the value and names that have held the belt. He has a respect for the business. If he tosses the belt down, I just can't swallow that he's that pigheaded.
Ah who cares, I don't want it anyways. At some point in time TNA has to start MAKING money. They aren't doing that.

These guys have health insurance, right?
