In the next Batman movie "Dark Knight" the Joker has finally been cast!

The actor? Heath Ledger (of all people)

If you don't know him he was in Knights Tale, Patriot, Brokeback Mountain etc.

I would have never guessed he would be the next Joker...I would have guessed someone like well I dunno. lol

He was cast like months ago.

It'll be interesting to see. Make-up does a lot, but you can make anybody "look" like the Joker... the question is, do they "act" like the Joker? Can you believe them?

Sometimes I wish they would just attempt to have Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill act the roles out. Get some make-up and some physical training... Bale is the only screen Batman to come close to the Animated Series Batman voice/presence. If he can get down the "growly Batman voice" in the new one it'll be amazing.

Batman begins is awesome and I'm looking forward to the new one, I'm willing to give heath Ledger a chance, as HE's supposed to be basing his performance heavily off Joker from the Killing Joke and a few other arcs.

I loved Mark Hamill as joker in the cartoon but when it comes down to it Jack Nicholson IS The Joker.
