From Wrestlezone.com
"Kurt Angle appeared on the Bubba the Love Sponge show on 12/8, which was a few days prior to his PPV match with Samoa Joe. However, he didn't talk about his upcoming match that much on show. Instead, he mostly talked about doing MMA. Angle claimed that he was planning on doing four MMA matches, the first of which would be on a TNA PPV in May or June. He said his first opponent would either be Tito Ortiz, Randy Couture, Chuck Liddell, Ken Shamrock or Daniel Puder. He also claimed that this PPV would do one million buys and head-butts would be legal."
Is Kurt insane? Any one of those guys would destroy him. Either it's gonna be fixed, or we just might see Angle get completely embarrassed on PPV.
BTW, is Puder considered a high-level MMA fighter? His wikipedia page implies he is, but I don't know for sure.

It'll be a fix and he'll face either Shamrock or Puder (former WWE guys) and 'humiliate' them at their game.
I'm cynical about TNA nowadays.

Ken Shamrock did just retire, did he not? I mean, if he were to come it would have to be an event separate from MMA... much like a fixed wrestling match. So I guess there'd be THAT loophole to have him involved.
edit: Isn't Couture retired too? Yeah, yeah he is. Stop fighting retired people.

From insidepulse.com wrestling:
"Joe's MCL sprain was a severe second degree sprain based on his second examination on the 13th December. He is not expected to undergo surgery but will avoid wrestling until Final Resolution. Before he hurt his knee he was said to be black and blue at the tapings as Angle is 'giving everyone a beating'.
Crazy Angle Story #1 - he filmed his segment on the George Michael Sports Machine show this week, was asked one question and gave a thirty-minute monologue in response.
Crazy Angle Story #2 - he was a presenter at the Video Game Awards that aired on Spike last week, went crazy and tore his shirt off onstage to get attention. Backstage he was telling people he would fight Couture, Ortiz or Lidell in a match in 2007."
Great. Now Angle is not only completely nuts, but beating up one of TNA's best assets.
Angle is GREAT in the ring but seriously...dude. What happens next? He breaks Joe's leg and puts him out for eight months?

I've lost a ton of respect for Angle which is sad because he was one of the greatest wrestlers in the last twenty years.
I now see what kind of crazy madness McMahon had to deal with when Angle worked for him.
I can only hope that TNA somehow calms Angle down before he seriously injures Joe or an AJ Styles.
Oh it's true...It's damn true
