So what's everybody doing for the holidays?
I'm visiting my dad and step-mum right now. Otherwise, Suzy and I will be spending our first christmas as a married couple just us, quiet and cozy.

Christmas Eve will be a family dinner at my house.
Christmas day I'll be watching my nephew "open" his presents on this, his very first Christmas (he turned six months old on Sunday) I'll be going to my aunt's for dinner, but will not be staying long, as I have to work at 4am Boxing Day to get stuff set for those who "really really need fresh buns for Boxing day dinner. And cheap candy."
Don't let the sarcasm fool you, I really am looking forward to this. Commercialism hasn't ruined Christmas for me yet.

Christmas Eve is spent with Anita's family this year. We'll spend the night at her parent's place and open presents at their house that morning.
At around noon we'll head back to my family for another "Christmas morning" and open some more presents. Then the rest of my mother's family will be coming over for dinner. Huzzuh!
Nita and I hit upon this pattern a few years ago. Basically we alternate Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with our families.

Christmas Eve morning my fiancée and I get up, open our presents to each other, then watch White Christmas & wrap everyone else's presents. Then we'll head to my nana's for Christmas Eve Dinner, then head to HER grandma's for Christmas Eve After Dinner.
This year we will spend our Christmas Mornings separately, as it's her family's "last Christmas together" with her getting married and her brothers living out of town, but then I'll pick her up and we'll go to my mom & dad's for more present exchanges, ridiculous games, and Christmas Dinner. It's complicated, but it'll be less so next year (I hope).

Head up for Floradale, Ontario for Christmas Eve, since my uncle is the head of a church, and they just recently built it new so our family is checking it out.
Christmas day is pretty much the nuclear family from television, minus any conflict. Hopefully there will be cinnamon buns involved.
Sunday is right back up to Floradale where all the people from my pops' side (him having 3 brothers and 4 sisters) get together and jump up jump up and get down.

Chill'n in Cape Breton for the past couple days with the lady friend's folks but tonight we are off to Da Rock!
Take a ferry at 11:30pm tonight, land in Newfoundland at 6:30am or so, nine and one half hour drive to St. John's. Home just in time for Fish & Brews...
Xmas eve at my good buddies house for a little drunken madness...
Xmas day at The Hussey Household with the best xmas dinner you ever had cooked by yours truly! More booze and maybe a strip tease by my uncle Wayne...shutter...I guess everyone has their family traditions...
Enjoy it what ever you do...
Later, Hussey

Stab Santa, eh? Gotta try that sometime. Christmas Eve will be me working from 4:30pm until about 10:30 at night. Once there I will proceed to present my co-workers with the gifts I purchased for them, maybe even get some of my own. Then I work like Bob Crachett (sp?) until we leave. The good thing about working that night is that Bankers Jerry and May Duan and May's brothers, Dr. Hung and Charles "The Little Mayor" Hung, will most likely present us with gifts since they love us and our restaurant so much. Should be interesting. We usually get a red envelope filled with money during Chinese New Year since none of us are married. Good times. Then I go home and probably play video games until Santa comes or until I pass out. I will not be leaving him milk and cookies out, he needs to go on a diet. On Christmas Day I go over to Paula's place and spend time with her and her family, which will end up being me trying to avoid being killed by her older brother. Again, good times. Then we head over to my moms for dinner where hopefully she makes a spiral cut ham (or orders one from Honeybaked, mmmm) and potatoes and possibly a few cheesecakes from my sister (her cooking is so-so, but she can bake like a mo-fo.) Then play with the dog and my niece and nephews until whenever sleep decides to overtake us. Somewhere in that mess, I may catch Jimmy Stewart in "A Christmas Story," but no promises.

Christmas eve we got to my grandma's house, and we have the usual Italian Xmas eve dinner of fish, fish, and more fish. Then, my house for Xmas with all the relatives over. Basic stuff, but it's still a good time.

I work on the Eve, will probably hit my aunt's place later on for the Jago-side Christmas Day.
Hopefully, I get two days off next week so I can drive to Calgary to spend a second Christmas with my parents, my bro and sis and the Dokken side.
