That event was absolutely crazy. Ryan cued me in with some of the things that was going on with the MIB saga, but I had no idea it was going to be anything like that! I'm glad Kenny had such a big part to play in with an event that has been brewing long before my time.
The battle royal was nuts... and something tells me Simply Beautiful wrote the match? Hah, seeings how we got the phrase "that much man" and with Kenny pretty much killing you-know-who again. When the roleplays were all said and done I knew it was going to come down to a contest between me and SBK, but a few people really picked up their game for this (Bruno, Kurtis, Nightmare) and it turned out to be a fun time. Great match.
I wrote the tag match, feedback on that match is appreciated because I haven't wrote a match in years.
Oh, and Bickle not being able to continue the match was all too bittersweet.

Don't forget more credit than I can possibly ever give to whoever referenced the Princess Bride.
Hell yeah Carey Elwes!

Credits!
Andrew did some great stuff with a big Action! Battle Royale. Allan stepped in and did almost the entire Evan/Bickle match. I did the entrances and like, half a paragraph. I finished Plague/Ravager, and wrote MIB vs Winchell. Mr. Scott went NUTS, CRAZY NUTS on Simply Beautiful/Casino II. Andrew Krenshov did his first NAPW match, a great title outing. Annnnnnd... Brion wrote some old-school BRUTAL bull-rope action. Did both competitors hard work justice.
Mr. Chapman wrote all the Thunder Claus bits... The Foundation wrote, well, the Foundation promo. I handled any other little bits and pieces.
Thanks for the kind words so far, what do the rest of you think?

Why do our years keep ending with the heels on top of the world!?
Oh, right, so that people will tune in next year to see them get knocked down! ;D
Congratulations - to EVERYONE. No one is a loser tonight. No one. Everyone was made to look like gold, and deservedly so. This was the HARDEST CARD to judge, and I cannot stress enough the enormity of my pride that you all stepped up to MAKE it that hard.
A second huge shout out to everyone and anyone who's written a match for the NAPW this year. It's been solid work and this last show... well it was off the hook. Great work all around. Every match was a pleasure to read and kept me on the edge of my seat!
This fed really wouldn't be what it is without the whole team. Give yourselves all a pat on the back, and buy yourself a beer on me. (You'll have to pay for it yourself, of course.)
We'll see you all in January! Have a great - and well earned! - break!

What can I say?
To put it simply, that was AWESOME.
Not one match (that ABR was sick, whoever wrote that is SO cool) was anything less than amazing.
Novice THAT, RoughKut!
Major thanks to the staff, especially to Scott for making SB look like gold. The match was spectacular man, I can't thank you enough for how well written it is and how much you helped advance SB's story, which I dare say was just as good as winning the match.
Hats off to Brion (who I hope handles Casino, for some reason I can't remember the name) for helping me get to the next level. Sure I lost, but it'll help me in the long run.
Congrats to Aaron, you richly deserve it. You've helped me a lot with my own writing, so I'm glad you won - saying Bickle was gonna "smoke you" was in-character, but I'm sure you knew that. Way to go man, and thanks.
Kenny - we have the same name. SUPER. I tried to make you look like an animal in that ABR, and I hope I did you justice. Thanks for the kudos, both for writing the match and RP'ing in it (I handle Bruno - GASP!)
All in all, this just goes to show why we got a 4.5/5, even if I HATE us being called novices. There is no fed better than the NAPW. Thanks to everyone for ending the year with a bang, and here's to kicking even more ass in 2007!
Peace and love - Andrew

PS: The "dread pirate roberts" line was all MINE, MINE, MINE. I heart the Princess Bride.
I also look like a Dread Pirate Roberts right now. Yess.

The Dread Pirate Ro?
In that case, I challenge you to a battle of wits. (Seriously, don't get me started, I can quote many parts of that movie from memory. Andre was so the man.)
The card was nothing less than spectacular. Brion actually did research for the bullrope match, and it paid dividends.
The Battle Royale w/cheese was off the hook, Andy me b'y. Thoroughly fun to read. Congrats to my old partner, Billy, on the huge win.
Great job on your first outing there, Mr. Kreshnov. Always wear a cup.
Thunder Claus sans pants. Hm Ho Ho, laugh.
The Pure Honor match just reeked of Scottsomeness. The man is a f*ckin rockstar.
Best Line of Dialogue:
BILL HEWSON: No! Good GOD! Someone stop that man!
JACK JONES: Why? Chris Casino just wants to be sure about the rules!
BILL HEWSON: NOT CASINO! HAVOK!
JACK JONES: You're right! There's going to be havok once Casino's refreshed on the rules!
BILL HEWSON: ARGH!
Stop, please, mein sides hurt after that one.
Plague vs. Ravager made me squeemish, so you're damn right it was good. Too much blood does that to me.
And last but not least, thank you Sir Ro and Sir Elimination Chambers for the main daddy match. I am truly humbled and honored to represent the company as its standard bearer, even thought it's via dubious methods. But hell, I'm a heel, so it's ok. A weird heel, yes, but one none the less.
Now, get out of here before I call the brute squad!
I'm on the brute squad.
You ARE the brute squad!

My heart stopped as I came up to Dread Pirate Roberts.
"GOD! Ryan made Kyle Roberts the Man In Black? You've gotta be (BLEEP)ing KIDDING me!"
Good show. Man, everyone worked their heart out for it, and looking back on it, I'm seriously glad that Dev and I didn't have to roleplay, because, god, that would have been us losing our belts for sure if we didn't drop 'em to Allan last week.
Not a bad match on the card.
Now come see my show, dammit!

Cool, dandy, divine, glorious, groovy, hunky-dory, keen, marvelous, neat, nifty, sensational, swell, sweet and swish.
Marvellous job, well done and thank you to all the writers. That was simply beautiful (see what I did?). Great show to all involved.

As much as I enjoyed writing Cartwright/Bickle, it paled in comparison to what I had planned for Ravager/Plague:
Ravager and Plague meet centre ring. Their stare down brings a hush to the crowd. The tension builds, without any contact between the two men. Slowly, the fans start to stamp their feet, eager to drive the competitor's emotions. The pounding from the crowd gets louder, and louder, almost deafening, and then Ravager reaches back and slaps Plague. Plague wipes his mouth, and sees a faint trace of blood. At this point he screams, high pitched, like a little girl. And like a bat out of Hell he races from the ring, his arms flailing wildly, tears streaming down his face as referee Sharplin calls for the bell.
... But what Ryan wrote was good too. (okay, okay, infinitely better. and fairer. That's why he's the man in charge and I'm just the writer guy)
Great show everyone. 2007 is going to be a big year for NAPW. Enjoy the break and be ready to fight January 2nd!
