Now this is more of me venting so beware..... Tuesday I went on what was supposed to be a three day vacation at, ironically enough, a casino. However, after only one night all the weather channels started freaking out about "blizzard like conditions" I decided I wanted to be safe rather than sorry and thus I checked out early. Last night in my area (tulsa, Ok) we had 8 inches of snow dumped on us. And it suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks. I've decided that I now can add snow to my list of things I hate. Phew...Okay I'm all better. BTW - anyone want to shovel my driveway?

It's been bad all over. Abbotsford and the Vancouver area here got a record snowfall, 14 inches. It usually just rains down here on the coast. The city might as well have shut down. Heh. In Edmonton they MAN UP for this, baby! And have a budget for snowplows right away. Ding!

Staten Island gets an ass-kickin' blizzard about every six or seven years, but there's usually just a light amount of snow. Can't remember the last time we didn't have any snow, but it wouldn't bother me at all.
Why?
I too, hate snow.
SB hates snow too.
Bruno will fight snow.

Gives a kick to all of the global warming doomsdayers that forget that every once in a while we have a warm winter (like last year).
That's just me venting, though.
Casino, you go to that Casino town close to the OK/MO border? I drover near there on the way to my hometown in Lebanon, MO in August.
I hate that toll road, too... by the way.

Not to start a fight, but global warming is a pretty serious issue. The extent or reality of notwithstanding, North America is a horribly wasteful continent of nations. Something needs to change...
nonetheless. Wacky weather so far this year, same as past couple.

Understood. I just get mad when people tell me everytime it's warmer than usual that it is because of global warming. I can agree that we are destroying the planet, but don't try to scare me if I already understand there is a problem

I go to Cherokee Nation Casino in Catoosa. It's about 20 minutes outside of Tulsa.

No snow in Ontario yet.
I love global warming. The next generation might not be as happy with it, however.

Wer're currently up to about two-to-four feet of snow total right now. It's CRAZY. We haven't had snow like this in many a year... in fact in the past two weeks it's snowed more than it did LAST YEAR. Ugh.
Funny story. My parents didn't think to put away the fancy little awning that they've set up over the deck. The two feet of snow that had packed down on top of it caused it to COLLAPSE rather spectacularly a few nights back.
Amazingly, the cloth part is totally intact, but the metal frame is now art deco.
