(We are backstage at NAIT, awaiting the first Monday Night Fights of 2006. The New & Improved D-X are standing with TERRY BRANDON; BRUCE "THE BEAST" RICHARDS is stretching, while STYLIN' KYLE ROBERTS hops up and down in place.)
TERRY BRANDON: Well my friends, we are but three hours away from the time that the NAPW Tag Team Belts are liberated from the black hole of talent known as The Dudes. The New & Improved D-X will be returned their prizes, and we four will be the most dominant force in the NAPW.
BRUCE RICHARDS: Yeah, Terry, about that. Listen, we're both really grateful that you and Chris decided to team up with the winningest tag team in NAPW history, but...
TERRY BRANDON: But, what?
KYLE ROBERTS: Well, do you think he could tone down his Canada-bashing a little?
TERRY BRANDON: What are you talking about? I thought you two would be fine with a little good-natured ribbing?
BRUCE RICHARDS: Don't get us wrong. We hate the people in Edmonton...(all three pause and look at the camera)...but we're not willing to put our patriotism aside while our partner insinuates that we all greet each other with oral sex and are unwashed hobos. If you know what I mean.
TERRY BRANDON: Come on, guys. You know how proud Casino is of his American heritage. And besides, don't you find Canada a little...low rent?
KYLE ROBERTS: Well...truth be told, I rather liked the week we spent in Vegas, Bruce. And even you said that American women were more...impressive. In not so few words.
TERRY BRANDON: This isn't something we need to be worried about right now, boys. You both need to focus on tonight's match against those Dudes.
BRUCE RICHARDS: I'm not too worried. They spent most of their time yesterday planning a road trip and throwing an impromptu party in the middle of the street.
KYLE ROBERTS: Uh, we didn't do much training on the plane, Bruce.
BRUCE RICHARDS: (Turns to his partner.) Kyle, you're not helping. The point is...The Dudes are beneath our notice. They came in when we were getting complacent. But we've gotten our wind back. and tonight we're going to get back what's ours. Then Static and Rex can try and take it from us.
TERRY BRANDON: That's the kind of fire I like to see from my wrestlers! I guess The Dude's comments got under your skin, eh Bruce? (BRUCE RICHARDS shoves his way past TERRY BRANDON.)
BRUCE RICHARDS: KYLE! You coming to the ring or what?
KYLE ROBERTS: (To TERRY BRANDON) Try not to remind Bruce about the whole "Undertaker" thing. It's not something he likes hearing about. (Walks off in the direction of his partner.)
TERRY BRANDON: (To himself.) Excellent. Motivation.
(Lights down.)
