And remember kids, get your parents to check your candy before eating!
Also, remember that by dressing up as supernatural characters and begging for food, you're giving Satan yet more grip on your souls. ;D
Happy Trick or Treating!

Happy Hallowe'en everyone! I will celebrate by trying to convince my fiancee to watch an episode of Buffy The Vampire Slayer, writing language assessment reports, and checking the boards every half-hour until the results are up. *sigh*

I saw SAW III. It was a decent movie, but I think it went too far. While it didn't disgust me like some of the Takeshe Mikke stuff I've seen, it did cross the line between genuine shock and needless gore. But it still had a killer (no pun intended) ending and some good performances.

Thats good to hear, I'm most likely seeing it tomorrow or Friday.
Takeshe Mikke? Mind if I ask who/what that is?

Saw 3 had just the right balance of shock and gore.. but different strokes for different pokes. I loved it and you have to appreciate the moral of the story.

Asian Splatter king. Check out Audition, or the Masters Of Horror episode Imprint. If you really feel lucky, look for Ichi The Killer. I think he's over rated, but most horror fans/film snobs salivate when they hear his name.

I watched Audition. A few unneeded things but it was alright.

I appreciated the moral of the story in SAW III. The SAW movies always have great twists. And I love horror. But I think this one went too far. But again, different strokes. My friends mom walked out of The Godfather in disgust. This same friend walked out of Natural Born Killers (granted I don't think he got it...)

I go to the movies around once a week, the best overall movie I've seen lately is "The Prestige". I'm a mark for Christian Bale, ever since American Pyscho. The movie wasn't gory, wasn't glitz, wasn't vulgar.. and had an awesome suspense filled story. Though a little bit made you throw logic out the window, you must do that with all movies. So go watch that if you love a great plot, with twists and clues to the end that will trick you. Plus awesome acting. Bale and Jackman with the oh so lovely Miss Johanson.

Well, people have diffrent tolerance levels when it comes to gore. They were most likely pushing it.. I'll find out if they were when I see it.

Friday? When? I might be up for that. I like me some Christian Bale, and Christopher Nolan rarely hits a false note...
