Ryan's apparently decided to tak a day off of his honeymoon and completely overhaul the Rules section on the main site. Check it out here. Everyone must read.I'm inserting one specific piece of errata as applies to Return Week shows, however. The new rules indicate that RP periods run from Thursday to Monday for TNF, Sunday to Thursday for Action! This will not be the case until after September 1st. This is because handlers were e-mailed before the rules were updated, and they were told to note the RP periods as they were listed then. So we're not switching them now while people may or may not have standing RP straegies coming back. Other new rules, such as the new take on deadline bombing, will still apply in full.

what's the issue with usuing microsoft word, jsut wondering because thats what i always right my matches in and save an .rtf file and havent had any problems to date other places. Was jsut wondering how the format was effecting things, because we ahd a simialr problem in the early days of OPW, but as long as people saved it in as an rtf it was fine I beleive.

You'd think that'd be okay, but we've always had weird character substitutions for punctuation marks in the past . . . ellipses and quotation marks in particular. I don't know how much of it is Word or how much of it is anything else.
Generally speaking, though, if you can get the body of your work onto a board PM, that'll always translate correctly.

RTF might be fine... but MS Word these days is so full of "microsfot specific" bs it's just a pain. We can run some tests... all I know is that it takes way too long to edit out every apostrophe, quotation mark, hyphen and ellipses...
If you write it in MS Word and post through PM, it doesn't necessarily fix the problem. There are lots of RPs on the board with the funky MS punctuation. It looks fine on the boards but the charactesr are still weird.
Anyways, it's a bit of a pain, but in the end it saves a great deal of time for the show editor. I should conduct some experiments to figure out exactly what the problem is...

Diego and I had a discussion last night about unanswered challenges and no-shows. We feel that it is not fair to punish the wrestler who took initiative to make the challenge. Therefore, please note the following new rule.
There are actually LESS rules for the NAPW then there were before this revamp. My goal is not to regulate and rule, but to ensure every player in NAPW has the ability to succeed in our system. Every e-fed has it's quirks. =)
