TEAM and The Mark E-Fed Newsmagazine proudly present the 2006 Dupree Cup Tournament!! This tournament will be a World Cup style event where teams representing different feds across the e-wrestling universe come together to compete for pride, honor, bragging rights and the Dupree Cup Trophy. Named in memory of Chad Dupree, the trophy was donated to TEAM for use as the prize for the winner of the league's season format. However, since plans have changed, the trophy shall be awarded through this tournament.
What feds are eligible to compete?
Any fed hosted at FWrestling.com or A1Wrestling.com, any member fed of Primetime Central, New Alberta Professional Wrestling, Legacy of Champions, All-Star Championship Wrestling, the Extreme Universal Wrestling Corporation, no brand Wrestling and KINGPro Wrestling are all eligible, no questions asked. If your fed is not under this umbrella, fear not, because it can still be eligible, pending an examination of your fed's dealings by Tom Holzerman.
What is the format?
The entire tournament will be RP based. There is no restriction on how you RP; it's totally free-form. However, to understand fully where the judges, specifically Holzerman, will be coming from, we suggest you read this thread.
How will teams be comprised?
Each fed-represented team shall be comprised of four players apiece. It is strongly suggested that two alternates are named in the case of unexpected circumstances for four of your regulars, but four is the bare minimum of what you need to compete.
How will this tournament be executed?
Of course, everything is dependant on turnout, but for now, all assumptions are based on eight feds sending teams. The teams will be divided into two groups of four. Each team in each group will face each other once. After that phase is complete, the two teams with the best records in each bracket will move to the single elimination semifinal round. The winners in that round will face off for the right to take home the Dupree Cup. If there are more teams entered, things will be adjusted accordingly.
Who will judge?
There will be a panel of three judges to decide the matches. Tom Holzerman will sit definitely as one judge.
Where will the tournament take place?
In the TEAM Forums at FWrestling.com.
Those are the basics. If you have any questions about putting a team in, please reply here in this thread or contact Tom Holzerman at tom.holzerman@gmail.com
