dude,
i'm sorry that the whole pistons-era couldn't have worked out. you know how it goes, glass ceiling and all. i think we both know now that joe d. should've forced brown to play you a bit more, and that flip should've had you in there for 20 minutes a night, easily... and that joe d. probably should've had a bit more foresight when he traded you in a cap dump. shitty situation for all.
i just want you to know that i'm rooting for you down in o-town, that i think you'll do well. at the least, dwight howard will be able to cover up each and every one of your awkward attempts at offense. keep the faith, buddy.
your pal, tr.

Funny thing, last time I was in Vegas, my first Pai Gow dealer was a Serbian named Bosko who looked a lot like Darko, plus 30 or 35 years. Hey, he dealt me a full house on my envy bet and I won 50 bucks on that single hand.
When will GMs learn that international big men are always risky projects and should go later in the 1st round. Stick with the sure things. Detroit had the #2 pick in one of the most historic draft classes, passing on 'Melo, Wade, T.J. Ford, and Chris Bosh. I can understand not wanting Carmelo, as they already had Prince, but how can you pass on a Dwayne Wade or a Chris Bosh (if they really did need that big man, at least he has all-star caliber skills.) Hindsight, true, but c'mon. Dah well, we'll never know what may or may not have been. Joe Dumars put together a great team and did win a championship, but only one isn't good enough these days in the NBA.
