Just getting the feed now here on the left coast. Good opening match between Mysterio and RVD, and I do understand that RVD in the wrestler who needs to show 'momentum' right now, but damn, has ANY champ lost as many matches as Rey Rey? He's the king of the non-title match, what with JBL sic'ing three monsters on him, then this. Toss in the 'count-out' loss to Angle, and poor Rey is getting the bloody raw end of his title reign.

To top it off, I hear in the real world, he's hurting now, and is due for some leg surgery.

he's a real talent, and charismatic, but he's going thru some hard times right now.

I always wonder how much say they have in their own angles. Perhaps Rey Rey likes the 'under dog' thing. Either way, he's getting to keep the belt, so I'm sure that makes him happy to some degree.

By the way, quite amused by the Big Show's turn. He's a much better ECW fit then Angle, in my opinion.

Angle represents The Dean Malenko's, Chris Benoits and Eddie's of the ECW of old.

I think if WWE really wants to make this ECW thing stand out - they need to get some of the lucha talent from CHIKARA and maybe some of the hardcore wrestlers from CZW or IWA Mid-South (If they end up closing).

The Big Show is just too big. ECW has a smaller ring and their workers have always generally been smaller (sides Big Dick, Big Guido and Mabel... anyone remember Little Spike kicking big Mabel in the plums? Priceless!) and he'll squash the other guys.

Guys like Justin Credible can't beat Big Show... i mean honestly they had him wearing a yellow jock on his face once.

The ECW vs WWE thing seems a little to emotion filled. I wanted to jump threw the TV and unplug king and Taz's mics

That was the most enjoyable WWE wrestling show I've seen in a longtime. RVD/Rey was great, and very much old RVD kicking it around. Cena/Sabu was actually good, Sabu looking crisp and just coming non-stop on Cena. I still hate how Cena so often gets his shitty FU out of nowhere to end matches.

Tazz and Joey were saying what is on a lot of people's minds. How can WWE have people ACKNOWLEDGE their problems and not do anything about them? Commentary was a blast though.

Big Show = new 911, and Heyman will probably book him spectacularly. Angle as the new ECW's version of Benoit/Malenko/Eddy is also fantastic. It remains to be seen what the new ECW will look like, really...

Colt Cabana
Super Dragon

BJ Whitmer
Toby Klein
Mad Man Pondo


Out of all these, the only one I think who has a serious chance would be Cabana, as he's done many Heat and Velocity matches, but I think any one of these guys could flourish in ECW. (okay, maybe not Necro, but him vs Sabu would be fun...)

I think Carlito would be a good fit, he's pulled some amazingly acrobatic things out of his hat, but when Angle was wreslting last Smackdown, and Heyman (who is a genius, which is why Steph hates him, I'm sure) was saying that this was the new ECW Angle, all Angel did was slap in submission holds, and face it, that gets boring quick.

I expected Matt Hardy to be the one who turned, but once again it's the WWE turncoats who look good like in the Invasion angle. Sure Sandman went far, but he was just being beat down by Orton, Lashley, FInaly and whoever else was left.

If it was Extreme rules why did the referee call for the bell. I guess use continuity when it works for you huh.

I thought it was pretty obvious that Show was the one to turn, especially after the first few minutes of the battle royal when it became apparent that he wasn't actually throwing anyone out. And then when he just stopped doing anything at all except standing in the corner.

Although that could have been because he's a fatty-fat-fat and he got tired.

Agreed. He had tons of spots to eliminate ECW guys and the announcer's were selling his size and strength huge, but he didn't do anything of note til the end. Heh.

Honestly I did not enjoy the ECW vs WWE thing at all. it just seemed to scripted for me. Granted i did not see the RVD vs Rey match but the Royal sucked even with the Show turn. I hated the way Cena just all of a sudden landed a FU on Sabu out of the blue after getting stomped for about 5 minutes. Once it was over I was like whatver. The crowd was not hot and like I said beforeit just seemed to scripted for my taste. I dont know maybe its just me but I'm just sick and tired of these sorry a** bulls** angles that have been played over and oaver and over again. I'm almost to the point where either you get real or get the f***. For example I just do not care who this guy is that is stalking Kane. I've seen this story at least 100 times in my lifetime. Get back to just wrestling and stop it with the ECW vs. WWE bull. Rant over.
