I'm going to start doing awards monthly. You will see on the main site now "Awards" instead of press... but since the server is acting wonky, here are the MAY awards for NAPW!

WRESTLER OF THE MONTH
"Sick" Billy Kryenik
Since winning TAIPEI against Deathrow, Bill Kryenik has been on a tear. From April through May he won seven straight matches, became half-of the tag team champions, defeated Patrick Bickle in a Pure Honor match, and defeated D-X along with his partner Evan Cartwright. Without question, Billy Kryenik was one of the key players in NAPW throughout April & May 2006.
TAG TEAM OF THE MONTH
Sexy Adorable Drunks
What else is there to say? Krusty Kid Paul - THE SHOWSTOPPA - and SUPERSTAR Tommy Deathrow tore up NAPW in May. They defeated The Delivery Men on three separate occasions in varying combinations, beat the crap out of two rookies, and in general raised merry hell over NAPW. Their promos, like SAD Cribs and Santa Claus, were hysterical. The censors cowered, fans booed but secretly loved them, and each man debuted a new move: KKP his vicious CRACK ROCK STEADY torture move, and Deathrow...The uh, Sweaty Ball Claw. KKP and STD are nothing but perfect together, and despite a hard night at Epic, are certainly in line for a shot at the tag team gold.
FEUD OF THE MONTH
Chris Casino vs Evan Cartwright
Although the Patrick Bickle/Billy Kryenik and The Delivery Men/SAD feuds were epic in scope, nothing was as intense, personal or simply angry as Chris Casino versus his former friend and tag partner Evan Cartwright. Casino's anger at Evan choosing Kryenik as his 'replacement' after Casino left NAPW was too great. Cartwright's regaining of the Provincial title from Lloyd Rees was sullied by a brutal attack from Casino immediately afterward. It only got worse from there, with Casino attacking Evan during a tag title defense against D-X. The feud ended in classic fashion at NAPW Epic, with Casino taking the Provincial gold from Cartwright. How long before their paths once again cross?
COMEBACK OF THE MONTH
Celtic Assassins
At the beginning of May, the Celtic Assassins looked to be the joke of NAPW. Turfed out of the New Found Alliance after an unsuccessful title shot, the Assassins regrouped. A win over former allies Bayman Jakey and Lloyd Rees (albeit due to Lloyd screwing over Jakey) gave the NFA the confidence they needed to begin a win streak. After defeating Mr. Slick & Joey Malone and then new team Stiff Competition, the Celtic Assassins scored a major upset, upending D-X in the TAGSTRAVANZA match and earning the number one contender slot in the tag division. They're hilarious and just so damned easy to cheer for.
SHOCK OF THE MONTH
D-X & Chris Casino Unite
It was at the hands of Stylin' Kyle Roberts that Chris Casino was put out of the NAPW for a period. Casino's return set off rampant speculation about how he would get his revenge. The story appeared to be concluded when a Triple-Threat match was booked: Billy Kryenik vs Kyle Roberts vs Chris Casino. Casino hated Kryenik. Kryenik hated Roberts. Roberts hated Casino. Casino hated Roberts. Roberts hated Kryenik. Kryenik hated Casino. Or so everybody thought. To the shock of EVERYBODY, even Boston Dave, Casino & Roberts turned on Kryenik in the match, and with The Beast coming in, beat down Kryenik and Evan Cartwright. The new trio --- called Degeneration NeXt --- made their mark one week later at Epic, with Casino upending Cartwright for the Provincial Belt. And they're just beginning.
