I've noted a bit of confusion over exactly WHEN the RP period for each show begins. Namely, what part of 'Thursday' or 'Sunday' counts?
It's customary in NAPW for most of the RPs to start in the afternoon on thursday or sunday, but what about an RP that goes up at say, 1 am on Thursday morning? But is that 1 am EST or MST? So let's clear this up.
Option 1 means that as soon as RPs for one show are cut-off, the RP period for the next show begins. That means that when Action RPs are cut-off, MNF RPs begin. I don't like that because I like each show to be up (or nearly up) when RPs start, but I suppose it doesn't really matter.
Option 2 means we set an actual hour when RPs can start.
I don't want to make rules too strict here, so option 1 is probably best (RP for MNF as soon as the action RP period is over, RP for Action! as soon as MNF period is over). Or is there another option?
I just want everybody to be on the same page so that no RP gets passed over for voting purposes because it went up at like, 1 am EST but 11 PM WEDNESDAY MST...you know? Kk.
Personally, I think it's usually best to leave a bit of a gap between period end and starting to RP for the next show because the first couple that go up can slip through the cracks (not for judging, but for people reading them and remember). I'm also probably over-thinking.

I think mnf rp period should start friday and action rp period should start monday at like say 0000 hours. Lets go Central time zone since its in the middle?

I like the idea of having the RPs for the next show start, say, one or two hours after the show of the day goes up. Granted, this only works for Thursdays, since the RP period for Action starts on Sunday. In which case I'd say go for Sunday Noon Eastern. (10 am MTN)

Well, I won't lie. I may have caused this entire debate.
When I was looking at the RP deadlines, all it said was that the RP period for MNF started Thursday and ended at midnight Sunday EST.
Being in the EST, I figured that if it ends at midnight, it would logically start at midnight. So I put up my RP at 12.30 EST thinking all was well.
Until I was told that it may not have been. Heh.
My belief is that to maximize the time frame, it would just make sense to have the end/start times be the same time on different days.
If you leave it for after a show being put up, let's say it goes up extremely late. Judging on how prompt everything has been here I'll say that's highly unlikely... but what if?
It pushes everything back and there will be chaos in the streets. CHAOS!
I dunno. Just my two cents.
If, at the very least, something is going to be done... I just ask for a specific time listed for when the RP starts instead of just naming the day. :-)

I also would prefer it if the roleplay period begins as soon as the previous one ends. I don't see how having more roleplay time is really going to hurt anyone, and having less could kick me in the ass because sometimes I have to get one out during those overlap periods before a show goes up in order to put forth a good effort for the week.
Especially now that my home internet is (BLEEP)ed for a little while, I need to maximize my time with an internet connection at work on Thursday and Friday for MNF stuff!

i think you need the gap between shows and rps.
Post event rp's get lost in the mix if other show rp's go up right away.
so i dunno, it's a toughie
