With upwards of nine teams in the NAPW at the moment, I wondered about having a secondary tag team championship, much like in old NWA days with the US Tag Team Titles. Vote and post thoughts.

I think we have enough titles right now. Keep the tag titles special by having people fight for a chance to win them.
Which does not mean I'm knocking any of the singles titles. We have so many competitors that we need the extra divisions, but at this point I don't think we need an extra set of tag team titles.

I'm torn. On the one hand, I agree that there's A LOT of people who want the tag titles, and it makes me happy that there's so much contention for them.
On the other hand, SO MANY PEOPLE want the tag belts, that it's hard for everyone to get the chance. Splitting the tag team division might be a good idea.
I'll wait and see how everyone else is voting.

I think we should because no other division has really more than 5 competitors. Tag has 9-10. Keep the provincial tag strictly on action, like the TV belt and we have a lot of problems solved as far as booking. I mean each title is special and has a rotating group of talent. Adding the belts shouldn't hurt the main tag titles.

I'm kind of ambivalent.
I don't mind having a lot of potential opponents, and to be quite honest, I find that any single team's handler(s) can be a threat. It's not like the Television Title, where it goes do the roleplayers who are just starting out or are the younger crew. The New and Improved D-X get threatened by virtually any team that challenges them. (Which is a very good thing when it comes to talking about the caliber of the tag team divison.)
I think it's just a matter of having some of the tag teams get into feuds of their own through roleplays and storylines. Obviously, holding the gold SHOULD be the main objective of any team in the NAPW, but it should be easy to challenge another team for some reason or another.
Hell, when's the last time the Decapitators challenged for the belts? But they seem to be holding their own by making up their own story.
So I think I'd be leading towards just one title, although I can definitely see why some people wouldn't feel the same way I do.
That being said, if there WAS a secondary title, I'd call it the Prairie Tag Titles.

Good thoughts Kyle. Right now it seems that there's quite a mess in terms of stories. A new belt would give some focus, but it's not necessary if people are focusing on certain matches and building feuds. Or simply trying to work through the ranks with challenges (not random challenges, but challenges based on something. Dislike or rankings or...)

Even as a non-tag wrestler, I think this points out why an umbrella is so useful to a fed like ours (finding/starting a successful umbrella is as difficult a task as there is).
Like with a fed that has our kind of competition, you could have the regional tag titles (NAPW in this instance) and a World Titleshot that would come around through scheduling cycle.
In this set up, you would have two sets of titles for tag wrestlers to gun for, but it wouldn't be like a TV Tag Belt or anything like that, which I just feel will be a belt that's looked down on. The NAPW Tag Titles would be the top titles for the region and then some type of World Tag Title would come through...
This point is of course based on being in an umbrella, which if we can find a good one has been something I've always been a fan of, but until we would... It's moot lol
Another idea would be to angle it so there are two tag belts, maybe have a double pinfall in a tag match and have the NAPW Tag Belts split in two for a while until some of the division cools off.

Pay up for using my last name. What the hell? It's not like you've trademarked the word "Caliber." <Jago checks the internet.> Well, I'll be damned.

If we're so desperate for extra tag titles, have D-X open up the Gastown belts.

I'm not sure if the Medicine Hat promotion would be too cool on us using their belts in a different fed.

There seems to have been a mixup with the paperwork somewhere along the line. You actually own the trademark to "Cereal Fornicator".
Poor, poor Count Chocula.

I say no to new tag titles...
The tag division in most e-feds is fairly week. I think adding another set of tag titles will water down competition and make the NAPW less valuable.
