Nightmare is, simply, pissed. How else would he be? He IS always pissed, but Rex Caliber just drew him a line. Nightmare is beyond pissed, and he's about to take it right out on the Kurtis Brothers' alpha dog. Matthew Kurtis is in for the fight of his life, plain and simple. Nightmare is going to make sure of it, and he will NOT take defeat lightly. Hell, he already got embarrassed by his brother, Chad. Nightmare's pulling out all the stops, and he's going to KILL Matthew Kurtis with the Dream Catcher this week. All Kurtis needs to do is... show up.
(The camera weaves in and out of focus to try and get a clear view of the clearly pissed NIGHTMARE. He's wearing his usual filthy black jeans, white long sleeve tee with "The Dream Demon" emblazoned on the back, high-top black converse shoes, red/black wrist tape, and his hair tied in a ponytail. His lip twitches, a sight we're all getting so used to seeing. He grips the steering wheel of his fixer-upper '69 Camaro tightly, the scenery passing by so fast it's all just a blur. A quick glance at the speedometer would indicate that he is traveling at speeds reaching 165 kilometers an hour. The camera views NIGHTMARE from his right as he speeds down the highway toward Moose Jaw. Fire in his green eyes catch our attention as he speaks.)
NIGHTMARE - Bull shit. Complete bull shit. (BLEEP)ing Rex Caliber... (BLEEP)ing Kyle Roberts... (BLEEP) 'em all. I'll show em, this week. I'll Catch the (BLEEP)ing Angry American and send him straight to (BLEEP)ing Oblivion.
(He turns and looks at the camera.)
NIGHTMARE - You got a seatbelt on?
THE CAMERA MAN - Uh, ye--
NIGHTMARE - Good.
(At that moment, NIGHTMARE's car SCREECHES around a very sharp corner going left. The camera man holds on to the dash for dear life, trying not to fall out of the doorless passenger side. Funny, NIGHTMARE has no seatbelt on...)
NIGHTMARE - (glancing at the camera every now and then) I'm sure you got to watch me tap out to the (BLEEP)ing Beartamer last week, huh? And you sons of bitches enjoyed it, didn't you? I bet you did.
(NIGHTMARE speeds up behind a big rig pulling a trailer going forty. He spins the wheel and passes the truck, nearly running into oncoming traffic. The camera man begins to hyperventilate. Very stressful. The passing cars drive on the shoulder to miss the speeding NIGHTMARE, angrily honking their horns at him whilst he flips them the bird, like it's them driving like a crazy person.)
NIGHTMARE - (glancing at the camera every now and then) Kyle, I'm done with you for now, I don't even (BLEEP)ing care. Right now I've got bigger fish to fry. Don't worry, Kyle, not ego-wise, but actual physical size.
(NIGHTMARE rolls his eyes.)
NIGHTMARE - That bigger fish is Chad Kurtis's older brother, Matthew. The bigger dick of the two. Listen, Kurt, you pissed you couldn't beat The Foundation without my help? Disappointed that I found out your little plan? Suck it up, princess, you knew it would happen. Look, I'd like to make a deal with you, but there are no deals made... between demons and men.
(NIGHTMARE speeds around another corner, this time right. The camera man accidentally lurches forward, right into NIGHTMARE, who shoves up on the poor man sending the camera spiralling out of the car and into the ditch outside. The last shot we get is the rear bumper of NIGHTMARE's 69 Camaro, speeding off to Moose Jaw, which we can also see in the distance. The shot is lost to static.)
Nightmare is not a forgiving man. The Dream Demon is not a merciful man. Nightmare WILL punish you this week, Matthew Kurtis, and all you get to do is sit back and watch. There's nothing you can do about it, accept it. You can prevent it, Kurtis. You can stay home, call it quits. Decide that you just won't come to the match on Tuesday. That way you can't possibly lose. That is the ONLY way you can't lose, Kurtis. Rest assured, if you show up, you WILL be Caught. ACCEPT it.
OOC NOTE: Yeah, short and sweet. Like the rest of my promos this week will be. I'm going to be hosting a Japanese student for the rest of this week and this weeked, so my promos won't exactly be the best quality. I'll post a reminder on the OOC Boards as well, but that won't be up until late tomorrow at least. I'll do my best under the circumstances that have been dealt to my side of the table, but they won't be as good quality. Just a little heads up.
