Ravager is walking to his car, when he is approached by Josh Reynolds. As usual, Ravager is more than happy to answer questions. .. No wait, he's never happy to see Josh. ...
Ravager: Josh, you really should use your skills to track people down for the forces of good, rather than to annoy me.
Reynolds: I was to short for the police academy. Did you have your meeting with Rex Caliber?
Ravager: I've talked to him a few times this week.
Reynolds: Well, there was some talk...
Ravager: That's all been cleared up. There were rumors that I was trying to use REBEL to get more money out of the NAPW. Which is pretty stupid, considering the working relationship the two companies have. I am committed to the NAPW, and to defending the championship against all comers. As well, I am more than willing to wrestle for REBEL to help them get moving. They already have a good talent pool, and it'll just get better from here. Now, if you'll excuse me...
Reynolds: Did you hear what Simply Beautiful said earlier?
Ravager: He thinks he's being brushed aside. I was worried this would happen. Kryenik gets announced as my opponent for Sole Survivor, yet people forget that SB has his shot first. The last thing I need is for him to have that kind of motivation. I've always said that Simply Beautiful is a fine competitor.
Reynolds: You're being more generous with your praise than usual.
Ravager: Well why not? Why lie and say my opponent is worthless? Why run down all his weaknesses? All that'll do is make him want to prove me wrong. Besides, should he win, how bad would I look, losing to someone I called pathetic? Or talentless? You're only as good as your opponent. If Simply Beautiful is in the main event, he damn well deserves to be.
Reynolds: Would he be someone you could pass the torch to? He already feels Kryenik...
Ravager: I've been in NAPW for more than a year now. Compared to a lot of the guys here, I'm a veteran. But I'm barely starting out in this business. That's why I keep going to TEAM. That's why I'm going to REBEL. Because I'm still learning. And I still need to improve. And I have a lot more I want to accomplish. Like an extended title reign. I have no desire to pass a torch to anyone. Hell, I don't really have a torch to pass yet.
Reynolds: Well, do you have anything else to add?
Ravager: Simply Beautiful said he was being cautious earlier, that he didn't want to run his mouth and get shown up. Caution can be good, but it doesn't get you the big belt.
Ravager holds up his NAPW title.
Ravager: I spent a month being cautious when I was dealing with Plague. And I kept losing. Until I decided to take fate in my own hands. Play his games. And I got the win that put me back in the title hunt. I was cautious when I first faced D! And I paid for it. So then I went outside the box. Did the unexpected. Suplexed Tiffany. Risked everything. And it threw him off just enough to get me the biggest win of my career. Caution? Use it when you're driving. Or buying a house. But in the ring? You got to take a few risks. Otherwise, you'll never get the jump on your opponent. Predictability is the downfall of any wrestler.
Reynolds: You haven't had a match since your bout with Rees. Simply Beautiful went through two other men to get a shot at you. Are you worried you may not have momentum for this bout?
Ravager: I wanted nothing more than to face David Banks. It would have done wonders to get me in the fighting mood I need for the title defense. But he and Rees made a decision that backfired...
Reynolds: Unless Simply Beautiful wins the belt. Then wouldn't Rees be his opponent at Sole Survivor?
Ravager: Well, Kryenik is the number one contender, so I'd think he'd get first dibs. Though SB would have an issue to settle with Rees, so the powers that be may put off... You know what would make things simpler? Me just beating Simply Beautiful Tuesday night. No need to change up the card No need for questions. I like to prepare for every eventuality, but I can't think about losing. I can't let that be an option. My last reign as NAPW champion only lasted a month. And it took a full year to get that belt back.
Reynolds: You just passed the one month mark last week.
Ravager: Fantastic. This title reign lasted what, a week longer than my last? That's not an accomplishment. Beating the best the company has to offer,on the other hand, is a huge accomplishment. And Simply Beautiful, you are one of the best the NAPW has. And if you want to help me fight the Untouchables, I couldn't think of anyone better. But Tuesday night, you're an obstacle. Nothing more. Just one more name I have to knock off to continue my title run. Your time will come. It just won't be at my expense. Now if you'll excuse me Josh, I've had a long day.
Ravager gets into his car and drives off, leaving Josh behind.
Fade to black.
