Hypocricy. Born from these of man's emotions.
Hope; man clings to what he believes most.
Confidence; man believes that he can accomplish anything, without considering the consequences of failure.
Fear; with his fear of failure flowing through him, man tries to instill fear in his adversaries to diminish his own fear.
But he fails to realize that demon feels no fear.
But he can smell it.[/color]

[Some things never change.]
[But some things do.]
[What hasn't changed is my will and desire to succeed.]
[What has changed is the stakes.]
[What hasn't changed is Dio Muerte's attitude toward me.]
[What has changed is that now I am a champion.]
[What hasn't changed is the respect that I have earned.]
[What has changed is exactly how I am earning that respect.]
[Now I am respected because of the fear that I have instilled into the hearts of many.]
[Dio Muerte and Chad Kurtis lack respect for me.]
[Perhaps they simply need to be... taught a lesson is respect?]
[The way I see it is that they have two options.]
[They can finally realize that the belt around my waist is my belt and learn that it will stay that way.]
[Or they can try their luck in the ring, fully confident that the belt will end up theirs, and come to a completely dead end.]
[Short. Simple. Easy to remember.]
[Because again, some things never change.]
[And some things do.]
[What has changed is the current holder of the NAPW Television Title.]
[What will never change is the future of that title.]
[Around my waist.]

(The flash of white light in darkness. The grey, black and white static that forms before the tape is placed in the VCR. And then the pixels slowly align themselves properly. The image finally takes shape on your screen. NIGHTMARE is standing over a long work bench in what we assume is his garage. Dust floats around, creating a beam of light from the window across from NIGHTMARE. The light from the outside creates the only light in the room, lighting whatever NIGHTMARE is very intently working on. There are various tools spread out over the work bench, none of them have been used in a while. A thick sheet of settled dust covers them.)
NIGHTMARE - Yesterday I watched a couple of promos cut by Dio Muerte and I have to say, I'm impressed. I didn't mean to get your hopes up, but I'm impressed at the hypocricy coming from Muerte's mouth. He spoke of how Chad Kurtis does nothing but talk, therefore leaving himself inferior, somehow at a disadvantage, to others. Well if Kurtis is at a disadvantage, Dio, consider yourself totally (BLEEP)ed. Because all I've heard from you is talking, talking, talking as well.
And I saw that other crap-tacular promo that you cut, as well, Muerte, about "How many times I've got into a match with you and walked out victorious." I find that rather funny, Muerte. "But, why?" you ask. I just think that in the one match we've had, I remember what he had to do in order to beat me. Yes, Dio, I remember. You got your good old friend Jeff James to lay the boots to me so you could pick up the victory.
I didn't forget, Muerte, and you know what kind of man I am. I am the kind of man who holds a deadly grudge. The kind of man who resorts to any and all means of getting revenge. I got it from the Foundation. I got it from Caliban. And I'm gonna get it from Chad Kurtis, and you, too.
(NIGHTMARE tosses something metal and gold off to the side, clanging off the bench and on to the bear concrete floor. He reaches into his pocket and pulls something out that we can't see. He brings the object to his project and begins the invisible, silent work again, twisting at something with a screwdriver.)
NIGHTMARE - You also made a comment telling me to get attached to the belt. You want the belt and I inseparable? Fair enough. You see, that is what I am doing here today. Making this belt and I inseparable. Why not? There's no way in hell that I'm letting this belt escape from me. Not this time. Not a week after I won the damn thing. I won't become another Predator, like D! had once described me as. "Predator without a mask." (BLEEP) D!, I won't be a God damn obstacle! I'll become the most dominating superstar this business has EVER seen!
First I'll have to teach Dio Muerte and Chad Kurtis some respect, and after that, I'll break records. I'll do things not even the great D! could have done, and the world will have to watch. They can go home at night, hope to dream that none of it ever happened, but when they wake up they'll just see the very real nightmare.
You want to stop me? Be my guest.
(NIGHTMARE throws the screwdriver off to the side. He turns away from the work bench, throwing his Television title belt over his shoulder. A new name plate has replaced the one that has read "Prince Darko." The camera zooms in on the name plate which is now grey like steel before painted, and much larger than the old name plate. "NIGHTMARE" is inscribed on the flame-shaped steel name plate. The camera zooms back out. NIGHTMARE smirks and taps the belt.)
NIGHTMARE - This belt is the last of your concerns, Muerte, Kurtis. When you step into the ring on Action!, your biggest concern will be your careers.
(The camera fades to black as NIGHTMARE walks off-shot.)

[That title, as well as I, have been engulfed in the fires of hell.]
[And I couldn't enjoy watching a human being suffer more than when I destroy Dio Muerte and Chad Kurtis.]
[It is not a matter of belief, not a matter of statistics or science.]
[It is simply a matter of time.][/color]
