OOC: Today, [This.][/color] is narration from Nightmare in the Dreamscape.
[Personifying Winter and Fire...]
[Two figures...]
[One, winter, and the resulting occurrences. Among them, ice, snow, blizzard. In short, cold.]
[The other, oxegen, and the resulting occurrences. Among them is fire, more powerful than all of winter's results.]
[Winter; melts against even the fire's weakest heat, but continues to over-rate itself.]
[Fire; honorable, but unforgiving. Passionate, but proud. As destructive as it is strong. Holding all the most desirable traits of a warrior.]
[The one thing winter wants to do above all is eliminate the oxygen. Take away what fire needs to survive.]
[Unknowing that it isn't only fire that disagrees.]
[Everything else resulting from oxygen will fight to protect the oxygen. Everything dependant on it for survival.]
[Humanity. People. They need oxygen to live. They give off what winter can not conquer.]
[Body heat.]
[But of course body heat is not enough alone to destroy the cold.]
[But that is where fire really comes in handy.]
[Nature. Plants. They depend not on oxygen, but what humanity creates using it.]
[Using carbon dioxide, they complete the process of photosynthesis, reproducing and producing more oxygen.]
[And keeping them alive is water, the by-product created when fire melts ice and snow.]
[The fire protects the plants, so in turn the plants protect the fire, absorbing the water that can destroy it. Keeping fire alive.]
[But what keeps the plants alive?]
[The answer is simple. The most powerful form of heat energy known to man. The brightest light known to the world.]
[The most powerful force imaginable.]
[The sun.]
[And what is the sun?]
[Fire is heat, winter's greatest enemy. And while winter has the desire to take away oxygen, to make itself strong enough to do so.]
[It can not. The heat is too overwhelming.]
[So the everlasting winter stays where it belongs.]
[The poles.]
[There it can take away the oxygen to its heart's content. It can take away life to its heart's content.]
[Winter can control the far north and the far south.]
[But the Sun will control everything in between.]
[You see, Prince Darko is the winter. And therefore where he belongs is in the north or the south, where winter never ends.]
[And I am the Sun. The most powerful and destructive force in the universe.]
[Darko, you say you are the only one worthy of carrying that belt, but you fail to realize this much.]
[You are winter. And in the world there are many winters. Some stronger than others, some barely recognizable.]
[But there is only one sun, and it is the strongest of them all.]
[And as humanity burns greenhouse gases, releasing them into the atmosphere, they forge global warming.]
[And eventually, there will be no winter at all.]
[And yes, of course, when all the ice in the world melts, flooding the world, it will all eventually freeze again.]
[But Darko, the winter will not be you. As I said, there are many winters. Some stronger than others.]
[This one will be stronger than you. By a long shot.]
[Because it will be capable of more than freezing a simple lake.]
[It will freeze the entire world.]
[You will disappear. There will be never a winter weaker, never a winter stronger.]
[But the Sun will always be there. Awaiting the right time to strike and end the strongest winter.]
[Because all things that have a beginning have an end.]
[And all things serve a purpose.]
[Prince Darko's purpose is to be the stepping stone for a much greater being, me.]
[But eventually, there will be a winter that succeeds my fire.]
[But when that happens, the winter that is Prince Darko will be long forgotten. No one will care who the Sun succeeded.]
[Only who finally succeeded the Sun.]
[But the Sun will bounce back, creating enough energy to end the winter. And create new life.]
[New life that will once again create fire.]
[And discover a way to battle winter head on. To send it back to the north and south poles.]
[You see, winter never has an advantage.]
[As long as there is the Sun, there will be heat.]
[As long as there is heat, there is air.]
[As long as there is air, there is life.]
[And as long as there is life, there is fire.]
[And the cycle will again continue.]
[The Sun does not live in regret or fear. The Sun knows that in the future its legacy will live on.]
[So that means that when I beat you, Darko, and gain the TV Title, I know that someone will succeed me.]
[But eventually I will regain my gold and my glory.]
[And the many winters will diminish to nothing under the destructive powers of the Sun's mighty fire.]
[You, Darko, as a winter will not be remembered.]
[But you never forget the Sun.]
[Because the Sun is always there.]
[Just like heat is always there.]
[Even in the smallest of forms, anticipating the moment it will be allowed to grow and begin new life.]
[New legacies.]
[This legacy is mine, Darko, and it will live like the Sun.]
[For all eternity.]
