Scene opens as "The Show" Chad Kurtis is checking into his room at Coast Inn of the North. He observes several different groups of people, but gets distracted by a young couple celebrating their honeymoon.
Show: That could have been me. Happily married to Amy by now, but I chose to pursue my wrestling career. Do I have any regrets, No! I mean I love my life. Going from town-to-town. Making good money doing something I love. When you see a happy couple it just makes you think what you sacrificed. I mean I am almost never in touch with family or friends except Matthew and a couple of others. You have almost no time to yourself between the training and the matches. But, this is the life I choose! The life I love! I don't want to be doing anything else! It's worth any sacrifice! But, to truly make it worth the sacrifice there is something I need to do, and it begins this Friday! This Friday when I climb into the squared circle and stare into the eyes of Jeff James and Prince Darko you will see a new focus in the eyes of "The Show" Chad Kurtis. 'Cause there ain't no stopping me now! I just hope James has enjoyed his little title run, because Friday a new era begins, and there ain't nothing he, Darko, or Young can do to stop it! It's timefor "The Show" to live up to his God-given talent! It's time for "The Show" to grab his destiny by the horns! No more excuses, no more poor me! Foundation when you guys beat me down like some stepchild, you made a mistake no ending my career, because only thing you did accomplish was pissing me off! James last time we faced you escaped with your belt with a little help, but this time nothing or no one is going to stop me from winning the television title! I am sure some people will hear this words, and think they are the words of some mad man or lunatic, but I ain't crazy just focused. With that said, I guess I have said enough for now. I mean I have often heard that you need to be careful what you say, because your words could come back and haunt you. I ain't sweating that. Only thing I know about something coming back to haunt anyone is the fact that The Foundation didn't end my career is going to comeback and haunt them!
Scene fades as "The Show" walks into his hotel room and the door shuts behind him.
