[The sun is bright. The sky is blue. The men are wearling black. The Hatchet. The Fixer. Dark suits. Dark glasses. The sun is bright. The sky is blue...]
THE FIXER: "Stylin" Kyle Roberts." Bruce "The Beast" Richards. The New & Improved D-X. You've shown us your hand, and the deal is cold, hard and clear: You're bluffing. The Calgary Connection does not wish to take anything away from your ability or achievements. But we are not in Gastown. Tomorrow night in Edmonton, our two teams meet for the NAPW Tag Team Championship. To my disappointment, D-X... you underestimate us. Apparently your manager is not as sharp as a tag team could desire, but nonetheless. The salary Mr. Jago receives versus the services he may or may not provide are not the concern of either myself or my disagreeociate.
[The Fixer pauses, stretching his neck. The Hatchet strokes his goatee, a smirk playing at his lips.]
THE FIXER: And if I may be so...formal... Mr. Richards, Mr. Roberts, the pair of your are free to believe or think whatever you wish. You are free to make as many flawed statements as you wish. Your perception, or inability to perceive, do not change the facts. The two of you step into the ring with two men who live, breathe, eat and sleep professional wrestling. We are the next generation of legendary Calgary wrestlers. We are the descendants, the flag-bearers for Stampede Wrestling. We are not content to be merely "good" enough to win meaningless Tag Team gold in Saskatchewan. We will be... we are. The best.
THE HATCHET: Listen up, D-X! Roberts, Richards, my pisan insists on respect and professionalism, but when it comes to The Hatchet, you get to earn respect! And as far as I'm concerned, you're just a couple of cafones who are in the wrong place at the right time. The right time for The Calgary Connection to be crowned NAPW Tag Team Champions. I'd say it's a shame for the two of you to be brought in only to lose on day one, but after what I've seen? It's going to be our pleasure to unload one helluva Moe Green Special in your eyes! The Calgary Connection isn't just Alberta raised and Alberta proud. We're proud of the traditions and the great legacies that Calgary wrestlers have made in the sport of professional wrestling! And it's a tradition we are proud to carry into the squared circle. But what I want to know... Is this a game to you, D-X? Because if it is, than you'd best reconsider stepping into the ring with the likes of us. [The Hatchet pauses in his fiery diatribe and removes his sunglasses. His eyes are on fire.] This thing of ours...it's bigger than you could ever imagine. Nobody, especially two little strunz like you, is going to stop it!
THE FIXER: Welcome to the NAPW, D-X. Time to pay up.
