SCREEN: THE FIVE MOVES OF D!OOM.
SCREEN: 1 - THE ROUNDHOUSE PUNCH
CLIP: Viking arguing with the ref, but that gives D! a second to recover and he levels Viking with a roundhouse punch!
(Lights up. D! is strolling through a gym, talking to the camera.)
D!: It looks like everybody and their momma wants to bench weights now. Noting but bench presses. Hey, fine, whatever, if you want to be a weight lifter. If you want to be a wrestler, you need to build and tone your body a different way. Benching will give you biceps and triceps--and that's all it'll ever give you. If you want real results for wrestling, you gotta use one of these--
(D! pats a steel-framed machine with weights and pulleys.)
D!: A cable machine!
(Shot of D! tugging on a pulley set behind him at shoulder level, one hand, pulling out in front of him.)
D!: With the machine's pulley set at this height, I'm adding resistance to not only my arm, but my shoulder as well. The idea is for me to keep throwing my arm out with as much velocity as I can . . . and this is how I develop my roundhouse punch.
CLIP: D! floors Immortal with a roundhouse punch, sending him to the floor.
(Shot of D! in the NAPW ring.)
D!: In a flat-out, all-or-nothing fight, you need to capitalize on as many opportunities as you can get. That's why I love throwing roundhouses; they're quick, economical on your stamina, and can really wallop an opponent.
CLIP: STATIC off the top rope GETS THE ROUNDHOUSE IN THE FACE! D! with another roundhouse sends STATIC over the top ropes!
(Shot of D! working on a speedbag.)
D!: There's so many ways to take down an opponent quick--the spear, the dropkick, the hurricanrana--but I choose the roundhouse every time, baby.
(D! nails the bag so hard it blurs as it oscillates.)
D!: It just feels right, you know?
CLIP: ROUNDHOUSE! D! just dropped Ravager with a roundhouse!
(Shot of D!, at the speed bag, chuckling.)
