[The scene opens inside the Edmonton HMV, where a man who we soon recognize as J.C. Cook is rifling through the 'L' section of the CD racks. His unkempt wavy brown hair and thick sideburns fitting in among the crowd of people around him as he starts to speak]
J.C. Cook:
So as it is I've ended up in Edmonton and it's not anywhere near as bad as I thought it would be. I mean, ever since my friend back home introduced me to the sport, this is everything I've wanted to do... Well, wrestle and listen to some rockin' tunes man.
[He says holding up an album, but quickly putting it back]
J.C.:
And as it happens, the wise old folks at New Alberta Pro have given me the chance I wanted. My Canadian debut... And with any luck it'll go better than my last match. That poor guy... But, not again! This time it's not one opponent, it's not two opponents. I have three opponents to dispose of in an elimination style match. The roughneck guy who calls himself "The Moose" Mark Miller. The quite petite Death and the potentially unstable Misery. Yeah, sounds great.
[J.C. is interrupted as a lady walks over to him. Her jeans traipsing along the floor behind her as she stops behind J.C. and puts her hand on his shoulder]
Monica:
Have you found it yet?
J.C.:
Not yet, but I know it's here somewhere.
Monica:
Can you hurry up then? Our new apartment is just waiting for us.
J.C.:
Sure thing doll.
Monica:
Good. I'll be over at the DVDs when you've finished looking.
J.C.:
Sure.
[Monica walks off towards the DVD section as J.C. pulls another CD from the shelf]
J.C.:
Got it... The 'Physical Graffiti' album. Now that rocks! But, I'm sure the New Alberta Pro fans want to hear about my thoughts and feelings. Am I scared? A little. Am I excited? A lot. Am I possibly the most promising prospect to come out of Kenosha in the past fifty years? Well that's nothing to brag about, but yes, I am. So come Monday evening when I have to step into the ring with Mark Miller, Death and Misery what thoughts will be running through my mind? Well, as I deliver the 'Pressure Cooker' and roll the third guy over to cover him for the pinfall, I'll be able to answer that one.
[And with that J.C. takes the CD towards the counter as the scene comes to an end with the normal fade-to-black]
