Real quick like here's the breakdown.
REBEL is two shows at the start of every month. NAPW is two shows at the end of every month. Why?
I was looking for a way to scale down NAPW, and Brion was looking to start a fed.
Real indie feds can't afford to bring up talent each week, but can do so maybe once a month - much less do TV. Real indie workers are going to wrestle other indie feds around their main one or two.
All REBEL and NAPW shows are for live crowds and taped for DVD. It's a Ring Of Honor/Full IMpact Pro relationship. The belts for each fed will be acknowledged in the other, but both feds are separate. I have nothing to do with running REBEL other than some webmonkey stuff. It's Brion's baby. The rule differences and Brion's style of running will give REBEL it's own personality.
I'm looking forward to doing some innovative things and stepping out of my comfort zone. I don't have the "episodic" weekly TV storytelling to guide me now. Every show can be huge. I'm booking to draw fans. Title matches will be hugely important.
Some NAPW guys will go over to REBEL exclusively. Some NAPW guys will be exclusive to here. Around a dozen or so guys will be on both fed's rosters. Nobody should feel like they're not good if they weren't invited to REBEL. REBEL is capping at 25 guys. NAPW is trimming the roster fat as well, I don't want more than 30 guys and even that's pushing it. NAPW guys can one-off in REBEL and vice versa. Some months have five weeks. We will do joint supercards in the middle of those months.
There are lots of questions we don't have answers to now, because this is new. But in the end, we have two separate and unique feds that will interact in a realistic indie fed way without sacrificing the fun of e-wrestling.
NAPW is running as usual until Sole Survivor II is over. Then it's off to the races. I'm excited for this.
