(Lights up. In the gym, D! is working the speed bag. He finishes his flurry, then catches his breath and addresses the camera.)
D!: Chris Casino's got a Cup tournament? For any title in the NAPW? D'you know what I think? Hell of a great idea. And it's gonna give us some dynamite match-ups, by the look of it. But I've gotta get two things known to y'all.
First. To all seven entrants: you're playing on Casino's terms. And if you think he doesn't have a fix waiting for you at the end, think again. Be prepared, because if you're gonna win this thing, you'll have to cross his path sooner or later.
And second . . . you can pick any championship.
(He jolts the bag with a punch that makes it blur.)
So I'm begging you to pick mine.
