So yesterday I had went to my friend's house and another friend was there. Us being teens, we went had some "whiskey" and cola.
Now, the whiskey tasted, looked and smelled like rum.
My friend says it's not, and says its premium Jack Daniels.
Now, to prove my friend wrong, how does Jack Daniels taste like?

Dude it's all about the version of Rum you have. Cheap rum tastes different from expensive rum, and different brands can taste different. I drink Montego Bay Rum alot because it's not too'
Whisky and Rum do taste different... but to be honest unless you've drank like me, tylor, ian and brion do.... you might not can tell. Besides... must not have been much of a party if debating the taste of a liquor is the top convo lol. JK... but the only thing i ever worry about is how strong it is... 101 proof is some strong shit and will be harsh. If it was drinkable and you wanted more, dont worry what kind it is, worry bout running low lol.

ha.
well the party was like the intro to that dio promo. I had done it at his house.
the party was a going away party for his grandpa. so his mom and his grandpa got a bunch of friends they knew and stuff like that.
so my friend and his little brother didn't wanna get left out and have no one to chill with. so he called me up. we were the "olders" and his little brother and his friends were the "littles"
so like around 10 we went inside the house, had some. my friend couldn't handle it at all. it was a little drop dude went and tossed the damn thing out, same for my other friend. they were saying it must be whiskey shit is strong. weakest shit i ever had.

I love whisky and i love rum.
Let's face it, i love to drink. It doesn't really matter what's in it.
Although right now my favourite drink is a "Screaming Viking"
2 oz vodka 1 oz dry vermouth 1 oz lime juice 1 celery stalk 1 spear cucumber
Basically, it tastes like liquid cucumber. Tasty.
Beer of choice: Maclays Scottish Pale Ale. In Canada it's 26.50 a case and it tastes damn good going down. I pounded off a case of that last night before the bar. MMM alcoholism.

Whiskey is made from grain, hence why so many countries in the world has a variety of it. I mean who doesn't grow grain? Whiskey is also known as Scotch, bourbon, rye (Canadian whiskey is called rye in our country,go crown royal), etc. Single-malt scotch is whiskey only from scotland and made with a single-malt, this is the fine stuff. Whiskey distilled anywhere else in the world cannot be called Scotch, similar to how "Champagne" is sparkling wine from the Champagne region in France. Sparkling wine made anywhere else is "sparkling wine."
Rum is made from things like sugar cane and molasses. Which means I SHOULD like it, but not really. I'm a rye and coke fan. Rum isn't really my thing but I do enjoy Captain Morgan's with ginger ale. White rums are my enemy. Dark rums are okay. I once accidentally had egg nog with white rum. Disgusting.
Obviously, pirates drank rum. According to historical documentatires like Curse of the Black Pearl.

Being the borderline alcoholic that I am, I figured I should throw my two cents in.
Rum is an interesting character. It, like vodka, has a tendancy to make girls take their clothes off and get you laid. It's a sweeter drink, and one of my favorites. Personally, spiced rum or coconut rum and coke will fancy me any night of the week. White Rum, depending on its grade and price, can be utterly disgusting. Be careful, bad alcohol can ruin anyones night.
Whiskey makes me do stupid shit. I'm not usually an angry drunk, but I find myself in fighting situations when me and several other people are drinking it heavily. I strongly suggest Southern Comfort and water if you forgot a mixer and can't drink it straight. The water adds a tad bit of sweetness to it, and before long you'll think you're drinking sugar and butter. If you're going for class, Johnny Walker, hands down, best shit you can get. Well, let me rephrase that, any Johnny Walker aside from the Red Label. Red Label is putrid and rough, black is smooth, blue is fun, green is interestingly crazy delicious, and gold is amazing. This stuff gets pretty expensive, and since you're a young teenager being exposed to the wonderous world of alcohol, let me tell you what I was nursed on.
Vodka. Vodka. Vodka, and more vodka. Now a days I stick with Absolut or the Goose, but back in the day, I was all about cheap vodka. The only thing you need for cheap vodka is seven bucks and a friend that is of age. That seven can buy you anywhere from a liter to a gallon, depending on how classy you want to be. My suggestion, get the gallon, it'll last you more than likely two weekends, and for some reason, girls love vodka. I do have to say, I enjoy a little cranberry and vodka every once inawhile.
Beer. Bud is nasty. (BLEEP) anyone else that replies to this that says Bud is good. For a novice, I'd recommend anything Miller. MGD in bottles tastes like honey. I'm a big fan of Molson Export, I guess for you Canucks it's just Molson up there. Another good one, Guiness. If you ever leave the country and go anywhere near the vicinity of Europe, make sure you drink Guiness before you go, then have on when you get there. In Europe, it's like a freaking milkshake, and oddly, the Irish Carbombs go down smoother.
Like I said, I'm probably what's considered a borderline alcoholic, but the only reason I don't consider myself one is because I'm not yet an expert on wines. Don't worry, I'm working on it. All I know, is that wine can be delicious or frighteningly awful. All the winaries in Pennsylvania have to use Pennyslvania grapes, and I have to say, for the price, it is amazing. If you're ever in PA, I suggest you grab a bottle made from Williamsport grapes.
What you should stay away from; Tequilla. I hate it, and I do not know why people love it so much. When I went to mexico, it was like two passo's for a liter, which, I guess explains why people love it- It's cheap! But no, you can't get it for two passo's in the states, not even close. I guess everyone likes to do the whole salt and lemon thing, and yeah I'll do it for the bitches, but I f'ing hate it. Another thing, any 99 products. I was brought up on Vodka and 99 Berries. 99 Berries will get you quick. The last time I had it, I was 17, mixed it with sprite remix. By the end of the night I had went to an OAR concert, which I don't even like them, no idea how or why I went, I had seven new numbers in my brick of a cell phone, and I was woken up by my friend face down in an alley when it was 20 some degrees out. The seven new numbers thing sounded like fun, but no, they arent the kind of girls you talk to when you're sober.
Enough stories. Maybe if you behave I'll tell you about giving a hooker a rock bottom in Dubai. Pace.

Being in college, and having just woken up after a night of heavy drinking, I feel I should also throw in my two cents.
Drink beer you (BLEEP)s!

I don't really go in for much domestic bottled beer. I like micro-breweries or imports. Definitely ales and stouts, I'm not a lager fan. Guiness and Kilkenny rock. I don't think any canadian on this board drinks Molson lol.

Come on. Tequila with some orange juice and a dash of grenadine is the nicest drink in the history of the world. And one of the easier cocktails to make at him if you don't have a lot around.
If you drink it straight, well you're an idiot ;D but TEQUILA SUNRISE 4EVA!

I'll drink them, but they sure aren't my favourites bleh. My fav beers are: Steamwhistle. Steelback. Maclays. Stella. Guiness. Miller High Life. Lowenbrow. and a whole wack of others.

Guiness baby. And Peroni, since I'm Italian and I have to keep that stereotype up or I lose cred.
