Welcome back people, this is the big episode of Vain View. And what a disgusting way to end off Cold Snap, though I'm still getting paid. So I guess that means I have to continue on through...but its so damn tough...whatever...you peons don't care, all you want is your damn "favorite" wrestlers to win. Its sickening, that you don't even care that Sir Winchell put everything he had in this stupid promotion. And all you do is stand back and laugh in his face. I'm telling you this in all honesty Rex Caliber, you sicken me, and if I had it my way I would've fired you December 1, 2005. Carrying on...
Cold Snap
Next Generation vs. Kevin Kodiak & Legion
We started off on a big foot, and no I'm not talking about Kodiak. It was Next Generation's first Pay Per View and the first PPV that Kodiak and Legion weren't at each other's throats. The two big monsters severely out-sized the Japanese sensation Sakai and the Mexican thrilla, Santiago. Though the huge difference wasn't the only factor in this match, because every-one knows the "heart" of New Generation and the mean streak of Legion. Though eventually the hot head of Legion's almost got kicked off by a Shining Wizard and Kodiak was on the bad end of a El Grande Froggy (whatever the heck that is). One-two-three and the Next Generation prevails. But the big, more important story was after the match and the confrontation between Kodiak & Legion. As it looks to me, Legion was tired of Kodiak getting in between him and winning.
Jay O'Brien vs. Johnny Rotten
The dirty rotten...Rotten faced off with the mega-star rookie, Jay O'Brien. It was a wide variety of pin reversals, high spots, painful submissions and I'm just talking about Jay! Rotten, on the other hand, plundered around and got lucky once or twice or he used the help of Jeff Fox. For a "fan favorite" Johnny Rotten, did a lot of despicable stuff, like hitting O'Brien from behind TWICE! Yet, it looks like Karma comes through and gives Jay O'Brien the big win in his first NAPW Pay-Per-View.
Six Man Scramble Match
Marcus Chamberlain vs. Maxx Extreme vs. Krusty Kid Paul vs. Dez Carter vs. Dio Muerte vs. Sam Finn
After a week of provoking men in his promo's "Storm" Sam Finn make his first Pay-Per-View appearance against NAPW mainstays KKP, Dez Carter and enigmatic Dio Muerte. Now it may just be that no-one knew that Sam Fin was going into this match, but he seemed in good form, even if was against trash wrestler Krusty Kid Paul. The two fairly new wrestler Marcus Chamberlain and Maxx Extreme were not out of the equation, It looked like every-one was in good form for their big PPV experience. At for the surprising win, the newcomer Sam Finn gets a big submission win over "hardcore" hack Krusty Kid Paul.
Team Gauntlet Match
The Foundation vs. Team Kurtis & Nightmare
Tensions between these six men rose to higher levels, some questions getting answered and others being brought up. It seems now the sky is the limit for the new attitude of Nightmare, while the controversy between Foundation members rose. It looked that the stipulation, got the best of The Foundation and Kurtis Brothers because of the separation of efforts. Although the big question is how far can Nightmare go now that he has all the doors opened in his favor. Look now for Nightmare to set his efforts on the Television Championship and Jeff James extends his skills into the Pure Honor Division.
Tag Team Championship
The Midnight Cowboys vs. The New & "Improved" D-X
A dynasty, five times they have been champions. They took on the new threat of Midnight Cowboys. Yes, in fact I am talking about Stylin' Kyle and Bruce Richards. And I could say they put up a good fight to save their team, but that would make me a liar. Yes people, one of my dreams has come true, The New and "Improved" D-X are no more. Isn't that something? After over a year of despicable actions, The Midnight Cowboys win their much deserved titles and destroy the pitiful era of D-X. Hooray! But then I laced with this...
The Famous Monsters of Hollyweird.
What?! O...k, I think this was supposed to be an introduction to a "new" tag team for NAPW. But honesty, if you don't know that the men under those masks are the Celtic Assassins...well then, your name is Bill Hewson. Anyways, this was dreadful. I mean a wolfboy, a ripoff of a guy that Stein ripped off, and Michael Myers. What's next? Jason, from Friday the 13'th...wait, nevermind. MOVING ON! (thank god).
...Brian Bruno vs. Kurt Castle
Hey what's better than a parody of famous movie monsters? It a match with Brian Bruno! Oh, joy. At least I have "Untouchable" Kurt Castle to raise spirits...well for me. The fans have no idea what their missing. Anyways, after what seems like a millenia of fists flying from every which way, Kurt Castle used the last of his efforts and Tombstones the lack-luster Brian Bruno. One-two-three and Kurt Castle remains...untouchable. In other news, Kurt retains his Provincial Championship and continues on his path of victory and intensity.
Lloyd Rees & David Banks vs. Simply Beautiful
In what was supposed to be a tag match, it was quickly turned into a handicap match pitting most successful NAPW wrestler Lloyd Rees and "Chairman" of the Fed, David Banks against the narcissistic Simply Beautiful. In a surprising fashion the smelly SB actually held his own and fought for his life, but fortunately for the rest of us. Mr. Beautiful taps out to the Charismatic Crossface from David Banks. Maybe next time, SB should chose a partner a little more reliable.
Falls Count Anywhere
The Untouchable vs. The Doomriders
Ugh, a Doomrider match. At least the awesome pair duo of Casino and Krenshov, upped the ante ant took it to The Doomriders on their own turn. It surprised me too, to see men like the Untouchables have to lower themselves to the level of violence that is involved with any Doomrider match. Of course, less than a minute into this match blood was flowing like club soda at a straight edge house party. And don't you know, it got worse. How worse? How about a flaming chair to the face of Krenshov? Not good enough? Well then how about add a twenty five foot drop into 10 tables, b*tch. Unfortunately the Doomriders succeeded in their specialty match. But man, was it crazy.
NAPW Championship Match
Ravager vs. Evan Cartwright
The former two time and first ever Provincial Champ, Ravager, looked in good form from the start of this match against former Violence Inc. stable-mate, the perfect Evan Cartwright. Not putting up much offense against the heart-strong challenger, was not the wisest of things to do and it showed through the pummeling that Evan could not counter. What more can I say than this match was a stellar disappointment for me, I was truly hoping to see an evenly contested match with the deserving champ come out on top. Instead Ravager won his second NAPW championship and Evan...shakes his hand?! Yech, that worse than watching Brian Bruno face off against The Famous Monsters of Hollyweird!
MASK VS. OWNERSHIP
No, it wasn't for championships. Rookies weren't looking to make their mark. Heck, it wasn't even for pride. This one, was some-thing a bit more prescious...the ownership of NAPW. Of course that is if...oh God this is the worst part of my job. Well, at least Joey didn't sprain anything by going into the match and ordered what was supposed to be a suitable replacement, Static. Do I really have to do this. Oh...I got a phone call, and yes I do. So here it is, the worst thing to happen to NAPW since Beef Wellington "spiked" the backstage punch. Yes my loyal listeners, it's true...Sir Winchell, yes Sir Robert Joseph Winchell the Third, has lost his ownership. And to who, no not the masked Mr. Canada, but the man under the mask Rex Caliber. That's right that damned Static screwed up and fell into Rex's spiral of hypnotic words and sent Sir Winchell down to hell with a sickening Moment of Clarity. Not to mention...
Not to Mention
...The damned Frank Warburton slipping "Mr. Canada" the microphone. See? None of this would have happened if it weren't for Frank. So now I play hardball. I challenge you Frank. I challenge you to match, you name the time, place and stipulation. And I will beat you, you damned sonofa(bleep). As long as I have we have one thing clear, no interference this time.
Next week look for Team Kurtis to take on Marcus Chamberlain & Maxx Extreme, newcomer Newfy Jack takes on Dez Carter, Foundation member takes on former S.A.D. member Krusty Kid Paul, The Monsters of Hollyweird make their debut..whoopee, Triple threat J vs. J. vs. J that could have some momentum effects on titles shots for either wrestlers, the enigmatic Dio Muerte does something enigmatic, what else is there to say? Oh yeah..Nightmare takes on Prince Darko, for the newly won TV Title, the Charismatic Chairman goes to take on the massive Kevin Kodiak , the man with skills take on former champ and "dynasty" member Bruce Richards, Lloyd Rees shows us why we are lucky to be graced with his presence each week, and ex-champ Evan Cartwright teams with the steamrolling tandem of Doomriders in a small Violence Inc. re-uniting against The Untouchables. Don't miss it...or I'll cut you. Just kidding! Or am I?? ...Frank Warburton.
