The Best, The Worst, The beep?

Basically, a thread where you talk about a promo that you made and loved.

A promo you made and didn't like.

And a promo when you had to come back and say "The (BLEEP)?"


The best: City of sin, I enjoyed writing it and I loved it.

The worst: My worst ties with "The (BLEEP)"

The ones when Darko would go inside his head, and it would be a white room and he would speak to that deep voice.

The first time I did it, I remember feeling real bored and not caring.

I should had refrained from doing it.

Heh. Belive it or not I've never been 100% happy with any of my Casino RP's. i always look back at them and think....Damn I should have added such and such.

One of my favorite RP's was waaaaaaaaaaaaay back when me and Sick Billy meet in the semi finals of the Canada Cup. At that time he was talking to a rabbit (no seriously) so I brought in Bob Barker as my "expert. I turned Bob Barker into a demented freak who only thought of animal castration. I guess you ahd to be there lol

My worse would be hard to say, but it no doubt was a Team Man RP. Not because it was badly written but because it was so ridiculous that it made people go...WTF?

I'm sure I've done a lot of other stinkers but at this second my mind goes blank. Although my last RP against The Doomies in the Cold Snap ppv sucked in my opinion. I thought Billy was going to no show and what happens? After I toss up my crap-tacualr Rp he posts like a minutes after me making me look even more retarded.

My favorite ever was probably an MCW one - Disco Air. I used it for their tag team tournament, when I beat STD and Rex Caliber. Yeah. STD AND Rex Caliber. So I'm guessing it was good.

My LEAST favorite was by far the horrendous, steaming pile of crap that was the movie RP for Cold Snap. I'd actually prefer to delete it, lol. Just a stupid, stupid promo.

I'm not sure what you mean by saying "the shit", but if you mean the best one I think I wrote, then I'd have to say that I don't think I've written a "classic" NAPW promo-yet. Maybe once I work the kinks out that SB still has, or if I ever really find out who Brian Bruno is supposed to be.

The (BLEEP)?: Basically every Mirage, Immortal, and Nightmare promo before the Apocalypse. I usually refrain from going back to read those mother(BLEEP)ers.

My Best: The Killing Joke (part one- and damn if it wasn't enough to beat D! for the title )

My Worst: back in November, during the #1 Contenders match with Evan. the first two promos were probably among my worst.

The (beep): Existential Blues: From last year, during Ravager's NAPW title program with Minstrel. I tried to out-weird the guy instead of trying to be a better rp'er. Still think I was in both cases, but it's not like I'm an impartial judge

i can't even count how many rp's i've posted and then (BLEEP) a brick because they were so bad.

after coming back from like a 3 year hiatus and joining NAPW, the first half of the year i was in here i was pretty up and down. I'd say about 50% of my rp's until i broke my neck were garbage.

some i've done since i got back too, haven't been entirely happy with. I am like you Brion, i dont think i'll ever be 100% satisfied with my writing. EVER. And yes, Colonel Giggles is still lingering in Billys mind. Maybe he'll make a special run in and save me against The Untouchables!

p.s. sorry for always taking forever to post rp's, brion. i know, i know. i'm a bastard. But when the deadling starts on Thursday, im usually swamped with stuff until sat or sun. But! Now you know my secret! OH NO!

I'm usually not overly thrilled with any of my roleplays myself, I can always find something I think I could have done better. But if I had to choose my best I'd say the ones i did for my match with Chris Casino were good,I liked my long Black Thrusday II RP,and I think the one I just did for the TEAM Invitational was really good,even though I gave the best line to Lyndsey. I tend to do that alot though.

As for the ones I really don't like,I wasn't thrilled with mine for Cold Snap I don't know that they were bad per say but they weren't what I wanted them to be. That was because of my DSL problems and the fact that I had to do them both in one day and i really couldn't wait for my opponents,Chad or our partner Nightmare to roleplay first. So they came off kind of generic and they really didn't help add any more drama to the match. But then I've always been better at responding to my opponent's RP's than starting them myself. I don't if that is because of the character or just me personally.

I have only really been happy with a few of my promo since joining NAPW, so here we:

Best: My after Cold Snap

Worst: Any with my personal trainer, Axl (What the hell was I thinking)

I keep looking at my promos and thinking, hmmm, it okay, but I know I can do better.

I do best when I have to up my game against another good roleplay (like my feud with Castle), but I must say I think my rp are on a up swing.

The best: Oh, jeez... Um, I'll definitely offer for submission Plan K, where D-X tried ripping off the Delivery Men at their own game, and failed. Horribly. Or our series involving community service after being arrested.

Worst RP? The one I wrote at work with half an hour before deadline, only to lose the window and all my work with seven minutes remaining. So I tried rewriting it in six minutes. I failed.

The shit? Any roleplay/match I start writing before 9:30 am. My brain's usually still in sleep mode, and I end up going creative/batshit insane. For example, So Ronery, the musical number I wrote in the morning, and after an hour of wakefulness, wondered what sort of drugs I was taking.
