Sorry my Column's late fellow true believers, but unlike some people Lex Vain doesn't no-show. So this is my big Preview of Cold Snap, which happens tomorrow. But first comes a huge TNF to start off what looks to be a big night for me...woo...hoo.
Tuesday Night Fights
We started off with some heated words in between Rees' Mafia and Casino's Untouchables. These men look to dominate the NAPW and, well, if your not with the Untouchables, your against the Untouchables.
Next Generation vs. The Untouchables (Krenshov & Castle)
This NAPW started off this action packed Tuesday with Next Generation's first TNF event against the mean and nasty Untouchables, who looked in perfect form against the so-called Next Generation. Though it was surprisingly tough to put the Next Generation members, The Untouchables won and took one more step towards all champs being "Untouchable".
In a surprising fashion, after the match Sir Winchell came out and declared his big surprise to Mr. Canada (I thought I was "Mr. Canada"? I guess the fans are too ugly to praise me). Anyways, the newest match to the Cold Snap card was declared Mr. Canada/Sir Winchell. And it ownership versus mask...God speed Mr. Winchell.
Simply Beautiful vs. David Banks
A match that marked the return of "The Chairman" and how did I miss him. Now allied with Lloyd Rees and Ol' Salty, David looks prone to finish his feud with former Pure Honor champ Simply Beautiful. In this match they faced off before their tag match with Patrick Bickle and Lloyd Rees, respectively. Though SB picks up what may an inclination of what happens on Cold Snap, he'll first have to go through the tough tag team of Rees and Banks.
Kevin Kodiak & Legion vs. Dez Carter & Johnston Rawk
The two big bears of the NAPW were scheduled to take on what may me the shaky truce between Carter and Gunderson, but North is again M.I.A. The lack-luster Rawk took North's place, but Dez was not very impressed, which eventually led to this teams downfall at the hands of Legion and Kodiak. These two former enemies now look to take on Next Gen. in Next Gen's first PPV.
Chris Casino vs. Patrick Bickle
Chris Casino, the current Pure Honor champ took on Patrick Bickle who was made famous by his audacious PH run and taking out former NAPW GOD AMONG MORTALS, Static. And that must have a while ago too 'cause Bickle basically forgot all the rules in the match and was rightfully disqualified for it. In other news, Casino looks to take out re-uniting Doomriders with his ally and friend Kenny Krenshov.
Gastown Tag Champs: Mystic Ninja & The Expositioner vs. NAPW Tag Champs: The New & "Improved" D-X
In a word? Crazy. This lumberjack match between two tag champions may have been good, but I was to busy watching every-thing else that was happening. Some-how D-X got the win against the Gastown Champs, but were quickly taken down from every-one else involved. Unfortunately, D-X's friends came out before any-thing really bad would happen. But the Midnight Cowboys did send a message to the champs when they left D-X laying in their own ruby fluids.
FOUR CORNER SURVIVAL
Kryenik vs. Rees vs. Ravager vs. Cartwright
Main event, a change in the contendership standings, all...or nothing. This was these men were fighting for. The respectful tensions between Ravager and Evan Cartwright have risen. Lloyd Rees was hoping for a successful return to NAPW. And Billy Kryenik wanted to prove himself as a main event level competitor. Eventually this match broke down into a four man free for all and finished with a sick chair shot from Lloyd Rees (Banks has been showing him) and got the three count on the champ.
After the match? Basically every man on the NAPW roster came out an we achieved a large brawl and just went the going got got good...dead air.
Next time on TNF? I have no idea! But I bet you it'll be some-thing to watch.
And NOW, the Preview of Previews. Its Cold Snap, and its tommorow...
R. Joseph Winchell vs. Mr Canada
My senses are tingling and their saying that in what may be the most important match on the card, we look forward to a forecast of 100% Winchell Babe. Then again, Sir Winchell has his work cut out if he wants to take out Mr. Canada.
Six Man Scramble Match
This match could explode into an all out craze between 3 veterans and 3 newbies. My vote, goes to my man The MUERTE. Yeah, b*tches.
Jay O'Brien vs. Johnny Rotten
Some call this what may become the show stealer. WRONG. I am the only show stealer in this federation and don't let any-one forget that. Now as for the match, "Awesome-er" Jay O'Brien gets my nod.
Kevin Kodiak & Legion vs. Next Generation
Next Generation's first PPV, and Kodiak & Legion's first PPV as a team. Then again I couldn't care less who won. So I flipped a coin and it combusted...which means no-one wins.
Patrick Bickle & Simply Beautiful vs. Lloyd Rees & David Banks
SB and Rees are both coming off of big wins from TNF, it may the the factoring of Banks that leads me to beleive that the new Found alliance (where have I heard that before?) between Rees & Banks will take the big upside-down M.
Kurt Castle vs. Brian Bruno
Provincial Championship is on the line when Untouchable member Castle takes on the number on contender Brian Bruno. It may just be raw power that settles this equation and provides Castle with the 1-2-3.
Team Gauntlet Match
The Foundation vs. Team Kurtis & Nightmare
This was a tough decision, but both teams are going through some shaky times. I can only hope that cooler heads prevail and The Foundation finds some cement to fix up the ripping seams.
No Holds Barred
The Untouchables (Casino & Krenshov) vs. The Doomriders
Its sad to say, but The Untouchables are in Doomrider territory for this one. Then again The Untouchable could easily turn this one around with their superior mental prowess.
The New & "Improved" D-X vs. Midnight Cowboys
This is the date with destiny for The Cowboys and the end of the D-X Dynasty. I see two new tag champs in the very, very near future.
Evan Cartwright vs. Ravager
With a heavy heart I say this...when every-thing is said and done, Perfection will still be perfect. And the NAPW Championship will lay around his waist until he is old and Grey. Evan Cartwright, though, does have his work cut out for him. And if this not his night, I hope to see him getting back to the top without any challenges.
Until then, I'm Lex Vain. Good Night, and have a pleasant tomorrow.
