The WSX ep 2 "preview" was on last night, I torrented it. Reminder it's not on Canada and I don't have cable.
Anyways... wow! What a fun show! Three matches, very little wasted time, and a touch better editing and pacing than last week. It's still very MTV IN YOUR FACE, and the matches are clearly edited for time (the spoilers listed them all as longer), but they still weren't terrible.
Human Tornado vs... Luke Hawks I think was a nice little opener. Tornado was over. Because...
HE'S A HUMAN TORNADOOOOOO!

Next up was a tag match between "That Seventies Team" vs Team Dragon Gate, two kick-ass japanese guys. That Seventies Team brought disco balls to the ring and had the referee stand on a little stepladder holding one up while they danced. Good match, 70's taking the win. Post-match angle saw Aguilera and Kaos fight it out with Alkatraz, table getting involved.
The main event was 6pac vs Vampiro for the WSX title. Good match! The finish was the only really goofy part of the show, when Vampiro tombstoned X-Pac off the ring apron into a casket he'd brought to ringside WHICH THEN EXPLODEEEEEED. Three count in the casket JUST BECAUSE and that was that. Vamp is the champ!

The commentary, while still over the top, is actually very good. They know move names, they call the action, and they - get this - GET THE WRESTLERS OVER. They're hyperactive, but easily 10x better than the hyper combo of Tenay and West on Total Nonstop Ass.
The thing that I'm liking is that WSX actually feels like something different. The venue, the feel, the way they're booking. Wrestlers... are getting in feuds! And wrestling! On a thirty minute show (22 minutes with commercials) there is pretty much almost entirely matches. A brief musical performance at the beginning and some post-match. There were two vignettes for tag teams debuting next week, one short, one about a minute long, but they both got over the teams and SET UP A MATCH for next week. It's refreshing.
The fact that WSX in less than thirty minutes of tv time, in TWO WEEKS, has communicated gimmicks, motivations and personalities for over a dozen wrestlers better than TNA or WWE has in months or longer is telling. WWE says "creative has nothing for jobber x", but really, they're not trying. TNA can't figure out if Angle is a face or heel within one show.
I mean I'm nto saying WSX is going to save wrestling by any means. But at a half hour, it's opposing Extremely Crappy Wrestling and it's FUN. Actually FUN. Check it out if you haven't.
