Alright, so I took a picture of fire with my camera the other day. And for some reason it turned out like this. And I was wondering, why did it change colors? Help?

I think the better question is, why did you take a picture of fire?

Digital cameras change the color of fire? It'll be something to do with "True Colour" or whatever. Digital cameras aren't like normal cameras, they actually process whatever you photo, rather than simply "capturing" it and copying it like a non-digi camera. That's my guess anyway, could be wrong, but when's that ever the case?

I learned it in Com-Tech in school. We're doing photography. My teacher explained how using digital cameras is not as reliable as film cameras. This explains why.

I think the better question is, why did you take a picture of fire? I dunno, I was just taking random pictures. And thanks for telling me why it changed color.

Digital cameras at this point are the standard in any major media. You aren't going to see professional photographers at major events using many non-digital cameras. Your teacher is pretty much a boob at this point Jacob. Digital cameras are the way things are not only heading, but pretty much the way things are.
There is still value in traditional film cameras, but a high-end digital camera is pretty much going to do the same thing a high-end film camera is going to do.
As far as the fire changing color, play with the settings on your camera. Next time you have the opportunity try different light situation filters etc.

Oh. Well, I'll mess with it and see what happens next time then.

I took a picture of a bon fire we had this summer with my phone. I use it as my background on it. Looks sweet to me. Other than that. Do post the nudes.
