More WWE Releases, and CM Punk

Apparently, a few guys saw the WWE.com article listing who was released and said that Tatanka and Mike Knox were also listed, but quickly removed after about 10 minutes. This probably means that they were listed online before they were notified by WWE, so they'll still be released in the coming days or in week or so.

Knox is no surprise. The guy brings zilch to the table, and no one buys him as a heel because he's tapped out to CM Punk so many times.

Tatank I called from a mile away once I saw him on TV last week. He got the win, but he's very, very out of shape again. The terms of his contract said that he had to lose weight, which he did, but then keep it off, which he hasn't. I like Tatanka, but if he can't stay in shape he can't wrestle nowadays. The days of Adrian Adonis and Playboy Buddy Rose are over, and have been for a while. You need to be in peak condition.

The main thing I wanted to post about is the treatment that CM Punk has been getting recently. I read about this in an article on wrestlezone.com, which is the only site I read other than 411 mania occasionally.

Since he was one of "Heyman's guys", and not a homegrown WWE product, Arn Anderson and the other old school writers are trying to bury him, and have done so by refusing to have Holly tap out to him, as was reportedly the original plan for the elimination chamber, and then having him job cleanly to both RVD in the chamber and to Holly a few shows later. It just makes me wonder what the hell Punk must have REALLY done to piss Anderson off. He was the only ECW guy other then Lashley and Holly to go to Iraq, and Vince obviously had to invite him. So why are the writers trying to bury him?

You can't believe the internet. I heard Big Show was supposed to tap for Punk, but Vince wanted RVD and Punk out early so the fans would have no choice but to root for Lashley.

And as for jobbing to Holly, Owen Hart once put over Holly, and quite gladly. Part of wrestling is losing once in a while to further stories. Punk won on ECW this week, so don't write him out yet.

Greg Groothius (Jack Bull), Steven Adkins (Seth Skyfire), and Ryan Reeves were most recently training at WWE's Ohio Valley Wrestling developmental territory.

Bill DeMott
DeMott was the head trainer of up-and-coming WWE talent at Deep South Wrestling in Atlanta, one of WWE’s developmental territories. DeMott was a ring veteran who was a Superstar in WCW and WWE. He has held the United States Championship on two occasions, and also is one of the largest Superstars to ever use the Moonsault in his matches. WWE fans who watched WWE Tough Enough will remember DeMott as the no-nonsense trainer who helped to make the show a smash hit.

I selfishly want him to go to the indies like he almost did in 2004, before he went back to WWE to get jobbed out to Edge all summer. I want to see what he could become if he went to the indies long-term as an in-ring performer... heh

Seriously, he had a gold mine angle. Even if the booking team botched a lot of it, he still didn't do all that much. Plus, if he hadn't gone and shot his mouth of on his website, he would never have been "fired" in the first place.

And Vis is pretty useless.

Matt got booed out of ROH. Twice. The fans weren't as bad to him as they were to Jeff, though.
