I'm rooting for the Oilers. Detroit has had a history of being upset, so maybe things will stay the same. I'm not going to do a pick for each round, but here are the teams who I would be happy to see win the Cup: Edmonton Ottawa Carolina Buffalo (they've been around so long, it's time for them to get a chance. And I said that I'd be happy to see them win, it's not like I'm making a bold prediction here. Though if they do win, I CALLED IT BITCHES!! YEAH!!!) Knew I should have put money on this. Yeah, Ottawa is out, but it wasn't like all four of my choices would win. But unless Anaheim shocks the world... |

The final four is a what the new season is all about. Anyone has a chance. If I recall properly, none of these teams ever made it to the playoffs last season. My money was on San Jose, but now I'm pulling for the Oilers. Nonetheless, my team has always been the Leafs. Next year.  |

Well, San Jose made it to the conference finals in the last season before the lock-out before Calgary sent them out in 7.
I believe Carolina (who've been to the finals) missed, Edmonton definitely missed (barely), and Buffalo... hmm. They were either eliminated quickly or missed. Anaheim missed, even though they made it to the Cup Finals the year before that (losing to Jersey in 7).
Hell you know what? I just want a Western Conference team to win, and have that team not be Dallas or Colorado. Whooo!
