Hello all,

I don't understand how I am supposed to read on the website that the deadline is at 10MST on Sunday and know that RPs are cut off on Saturday, if the latter was the case why not state it on the website?

Consider this my resignation, I respect the way the pres handles things and think he runs a tight ship. Do I agree with all his decisiions? No. Do I respect them? Yes.

I am a extremely competitive person and believe that this characteristic is one of my weaknesses as a person, which plays a part in why I feel the need to leave.

I also believe that this community of people(excellent people mightn I add) deserve to operate drama free as does the pres. I personallly feel bad for arguing about the two weeks ago,

And if it had been made clear on the site I would've put up another two posts!

But I digress... I just want all of you to know, I've enjoyed your company and writing and I hope you've enjoyed mine... I apologize that I couldn't read between the lines... But Sunday AT 10 mountain is still Sunday10 PM at Mountain

If Minstrel is your weakest character then i think you did pretty well with your him.

We may not always agree with decisions or we may not always love the way something turns out but the one thing we could always do is talk to Ryan about it.

I doubt you'll read the replies but i wish you would reconsider your resignation and stay with this federation.

i can't feel too much pity for you. i too thought that the deadline was sunday 10pm mtn. i found out otherwise on friday night, ten minutes before going to a party. as such, i made plans to wake up at 7am and rp my ass off until noon, despite coming home at about 5am in no shape to rp or do much else.

regardless, i echo all of sick billy's sentiments.

I had even less warning than Static.

Pres got the date wrong on the show site, but the fact still remains, he needs the whole day to write the show. The date simply couldn't have been pushed back for anyone.

I'm sorry to see you go, Minstrel, I'd have loved to have done something with you at some point. Hope you can follow the show every once in a while.

Just to respond to some things, I wasn't looking for sympathy in my post, which apparently is how some people reacted to it. I've been frustrated for a few weeks now and I decided that I was going to come out this weekend and bust my ass.

I checked the site yesterday and it said Sunday 10 PM Mountain so I RPed yesterday and planned on putting one up late night yesterday/early morning today and another later tonight. I come in and sit down to do just that and I see the post stating the deadline has passed.

This sort of thing happens and I understand that. It's just as I said, my frustration carrying over.

I don't mean to criticize Ryan. I haven't always seen eye-to-eye with him, but I truly believe he does an amazing job in running this fed and for everybody in it.

I just believe that, even though I've enjoyed my time here immensely, I simply can't stay and continue to have fun and manage to allow everyone else to have fun at the same time. I don't want to be a spoiler nor do I want to inhibit anyone else's fun because I am so competitive at this.

I'll remain as a fan and an occassional comment, and hell, if I find myself feeling the need to make a comeback, I'll fill out an application and hopefully be allowed back. I'm bowing out the best way I know how.... Hopefully there is no anger or ill will.

Gah, I follow GMT and have no whole free days at home. I get by fine. Seems a bit of a pathetic reason to leave to be honest.

Van Helden, this is not the only reason I'm leaving if you read either one of my other two posts.

I go to work and school full time so I'm not overflowing with free time either.

Obviously you didn't note that I was not complaining about Mountain time issue, but about the date being Sunday on the site.

Please my friend, try and read posts before you rip people.

Sad to see you go, Minstrel. I've always enjoyed reading your promos and writing the occasional match featuring you.

And I understand about the whole competitiveness, let me tell you...

Hopefully we'll see you around again, if not as a player in the near future, at least as a OOC forum visitor.

I ain't gonna lie to ya, man, I'm gonna miss reading your RPs. I 'member when you first joined up here... I just introduced myself and we kept up the RP compliments. Henh, just the average thing someone like me would do.

All in all, I think I understand why you're leaving, and I had to leave another fed I joined in for the same reason. I just wish you would stay... keep the fire BURNIN'!

No anger. To be honest I was wondering if Minstrel was going to RP at all, so I was wondering.

What's frustrating to me is that I talked to people, and the deadline was saturday. I posted it for SURE in an OOC thread called FINAL INFO THREAD FOR SOLE SURVIVOR napwpres.proboards2.com/index.cgi?board=ooc&action=display&n=1&thread=4540. And I am POSITIVE that I read the nextshow link and it said saturday. I remember thinking "I should remind people it's saturday". And then I thought: "I don't need to babysit the fed, I work with people who keep up."

I mean the whole point being, RP period starts a day earlier and cuts off a day earlier so such a big show can be up on time, on monday...

So I was freaked out when it said sunday. I mean, I saw so many RPs by Friday or early Saturday as it was I figured everybody knew. RAAAAAT PAAAACK!

In any event, I screwed up and some people got affected. I tend to communicate more important info on the OOC board, and I missed out ensuring all available sources of information said the same thing. I apologize to anybody who feels slighted or messed with. I think everybody will be happy with how I treat them at Sole Survivor. It'll be a fun place to come back to April 3rd.



Minstrel, I wasn't sure if we were going to see you again after our conversations a couple weeks ago. I'm glad you chose this way to quit, and there are no hard feelings. Door's always open for Minstrel or a new character to come back here. I'll give you a good send-off.

Sorry to see you go bud. I myself didn't once see a Sunday Deadline posted and I have thought the whole time it was Saturday. I missed the one Minstrel was refering too. The last super show was a Saturday deadline too so it was already in my mind.

You will truly be missed. As me and you started out at the same time, and have both gotten to the main event at the same time, it's sort of going to be weird not having you to possibly feud with. It's also a shame our triple threat match with Ravager wasn't as hotly contested as it could have been, had not confusion been involved.

Cheers
