Ok heres an idea
I pitched this idea of a Japanese tour to Ryan a few weeks back. I'm working on the details of halls, and land marks and information that we could all use to roleplay from (since we'd have to rp from Japan)
any feedback on a japanese tour?
Also
I was thumbing around my video collection and stopped at the IWA King of the Death Match 1995 where Cactus Jack beat Terry Funk in the finals. Made me wonder if we could put together a Death Match tournament, kinda like a once a year thing. Maybe like a King of the Ring? Qualifying matches, crown of barbedwire? What?
I dunno, feedback please!!

Japan tour i`m for big time, Hold an event in the Tokyo dome,Nippon Budokan or the Saitama Super Arena. Hell I think it'd be fun to do a electic bardwire, exploding glass ice skateing match against Kryenik at the Aqua Wing Arena? But thats just me.

I don't know anything about Japan, but I'm up for the Tournament idea.

Exploding barbed waire glass cage with a layer of weapons around the top?
Or not, but the Japanese tour sounds cool. Maybe Mexico too?

I dunno. My whole schtick is bashing Edmonton. I'm sure I'd be revered like a GOD in Japan. And how much would that suck for my opponent?

Jago, the people in Japan would probably assume you were the pre-show comedy act. You have about as much pure wrestling talent as my baby toe, but by gum, you're a funny man!
That said, a Japan tour SOUNDS neat... on paper... it would be hard to pull off though. And - all kidding aside - as Jago mentioned, many of our gimmicks are more locally grounded.

I like the idea but Japan doesn't just have deathmatch tournaments....but Super J cup tourneys, Big Tag tournaments, and Round Robins...which are hard as hell to book. I could see some type tour thing but our characters are so promo based, in reality would Japanese fans care if Casino hates Canada? All the masked guys could do well. Now traveling to Texas... now there's a good way to take the Canadian's out of their element.

Actually come to think about it, Calagary does have the worlds largest rodeo. Maybe Florida then.

Maybe the hating canada can cross over to hating China? or a country that is in the running with Japan for technological supremecy.
You'd also note that Japanese wrestling fans just appreciate good wrestling. It's never really been about the gimmick. I mean honestly, what is a Jushin Lyger?

Liger is an animal that is a cross between a tigher and a lion. Speaking as someone who spent 10 days in Tokyo back in the 90's I can say that Japan did indeed kick ass. I think NAPW should do some kinda king of the ring or royal rumble thingy just to have something to look foreword to every year. But what do I know, I live in Oklahoma

A 30-man rumble would be sweet, but that would have to be the only match on the card, given our roster size.
That could be a good thing or a bad thing.
Here's what we're NOT doing: naming it after The Immortal. Get your own advertising, ya big hoss.
Now a tournament would be rad, plus we've had one already for the TV title, nothing says we can't do them more often. And hey, we've figured out the mystery of "semi-final" and "quarter-final" matches, too!

what about a fed wide tourney that takes place over the course of several weeks where the last two men meet for the prize whatever that might be at the next supershow? you could draw names at randon thus people could face someone they usually wouldn't?
