Thought it might be fun to see who gets the most right. ;D
WWE Champion John Cena vs. Kurt Angle vs. Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Masters vs. Carlito vs. Kane (Elimination Chamber Match)
MY PICK: Kurt Angle. They can't keep shoving Cena down our throats...he'll cheat and it will back fire, Angle will get the win and mercifully take the title off that pathetic excuse of a wrestler. Angle vs HBK for the title at WrestleMania...that'd be sweet.
Big Show vs. Triple H
MY PICK: Triple H since he only lays down for his friends (see: Batista, Flair). He'll hit him with a sledgehammer or something screwy like that...bottom line, he's lost way too damn much and he'll be dominating again in time for WrestleMania. It starts on Sunday.
Intercontinental Champion Ric Flair vs. Edge
MY PICK: Flair by DQ or a double countout or something. Title won't change hands because Edge still has to cash in his money in the bank, which I hope he does after the main event at WrestleMania, making the champ defend the title again on the same night after a lengthy title defence. Edge wins the title at WM.
Gregory Helms vs. Jerry "The King" Lawler
MY PICK: Gregory Helms, because if he loses his character is dead.
Ashley vs. Maria vs. Torrie Wilson vs. Victoria vs. Candice Michelle (Bra & Panties Gauntlet Match)
MY PICK: Who cares?
Women's Champion Trish Stratus vs. Mickie James
MY PICK: Mickie James. Heel turn. "You never returned any of my letters! I was your biggest fan and now I'm your worst nightmare!" Ahh yes, best angle going right now. ;D
Anyway, it looks like the best card in a while...should be good, though I suspect the Chamber is going to disappoint.

Just a few thoughts on the card:
If Cena loses the title before Wrestlemania, Vince will have admitted he made a mistake keeping the him for too long. And you know how Vince loves to admit his mistakes.
Cena wins the Elimination Chamber
HHH will most likely beat Show. It's an insta feud anyways, and I don't see Triple H spending too much more time with half of the Tag Champs. (even though Tag Wrestling is so huge for RAW)
Flair will keep the IC title. The belt is worthless right now anyways, since it's never defended. But I'm sure there's sound reasoning for taking it off a young up and coming champion and giving it to a former 16 time world champion who's best days are behind him (yes, the man can put on good matches, but he should be elevating youth, not the other way around). I see Edge by DQ, because Edge has to have some heat on him so he can justify being in the main event.
Helms had better beat Lawler. If Helms loses, I see him in TNA within the next year. Becuase this match came out of nowhere. As did the heel turn. (granted they tried it, then completely abandoned it, only to bring it back later)
I see Maria winning the gauntlet with a series of german suplexes, followed by a Canadian Destroyer on Ashley. Granted, I think Candace's Muscle buster on Vctoria throught the table will be the spot of the night. ... Oh wait, I'm thinking of a different match. BOOBIES GALORE!!!!!!!
Trish will beat Mickie James, but this will lead to bigger, creepier feud.
Hope this show is good, and not a one match wonder, but we shall see.

The show is on in three hours, so I'll make it quick. Elimination Chamber (in order of elimination)-Carlito -Angle -HBK -Cena -Kane -Masters (wins title to fans dismay) HHH vs. Big ShowTriple H. Big show puts up a hell of a fight, though. H cheats or somethin' and Show gets counted out for leaving with broken knuckles. Flair vs. EdgeFlair. He worked too hard to just give up. Edge is a big pussy. Helms vs. KingKing. He needs to teach Helms a lesson. Hurricane was my favourite. Gauntlet Bra and PantiesReally, who cares? Personally I want to see Torrie and Ashley lose early . Women's ChampionshipTrish. No comment. Anyhow I'm gonna miss it so this is as close as I can get.

EDGE WINS THE TITLE! WOOOOOO!!!!
Wow, that was the best possible outcome I could have imagined! And funny enough, I ran the idea of him cashing in his Money in the Bank after a match through my head several times, but I dismissed the idea because I figured the writers weren't smart enough to do it.
Edge is gonna have a HUGE year. I just hope they don't give Cena the title back at Royal Rumble. Edge is my favorite. ;D

I don't like Edge much. He's flat in the ring and the Matt Hardy thing makes it hard to like him much.
That said, he was on tonight. The logic WWE creative showed booking the elimination chamber and Edge's win was shockingly bright. I hope WWE keeps it on him until Wrestlemania, rather than jumping to Cena or Triple H and forgetting about Edge entirely at the Rumble.
If Edge can't defend it at all, than he'll look like as much of a chump as if he didn't win such an easy match.
The heel heat on Cena was unbelievable. Carlito had one of the best responses of the night and was brilliant in his role during the Chamber. HBK and Angle brought what they always do.
Not a great PPV by any means, but the stunningly intelligent booking of the Chamber gives it a good rating from me.

I agree, NYR was a lot better than what it looked like on paper. Mostly due to thoughtful booking.
Also, I'm not sure what Mae Young was doing there, other than giving me the most awesome visual ever when the camera cut to a large guy in his mid-thirties making a boo-boo face, ready to cry.
And I'm truly, truly sorry for Greg Helms. Jobbing to Lawler with a falling fist? Yipes. Just...yipes...

I dunno, I think Edge is the best heel in the WWE right now. I'm still not entirely convinced that the Hardy/Lita thing wasn't just an angle made to look like a shoot (it was well done if it was), and I've never been so behind a wrestler as I am for Edge since Bret Hart was in WWE. He's awesome on the mic...in the ring he's only slightly above average, but then again he's still WAY better than Cena, and Austin and Rock were never that great in the ring either. Comes down to heat, I think...and Edge has the best heel heat in the business right now. Going into WrestleMania that's the best guy to have as the champ.
The way I see it there's different kinds of heat. Good heat, ie Bret Hart when he was playing the heel, Muhammed Hassan, Randy Orton, etc. Then there's bad heat, meaning the fans don't boo you because you're the bad guy, they boo you because they're sick and tired of you and they think you suck and don't want to see you any more, ie X-Pac and now John Cena.
The fact is, Cena could have, and still could be, the next big star...but they pushed him WAY too hard WAY too soon. He was a pretty good heel, they should have kept him that way, the fans were getting behind him. That's the same way Austin got over, he kept playing the heel until the fans loved him so much that they cheered him. Same with the Rock. I think Vince was just desperate for a new star because the talent is so thin these days, so he started shoving Cena down our throats and hoping for the best. I really think Edge winning the title is the absolute most perfect thing that could have happened. He's now a legitimate main eventer and that opens up all kinds of new options. Also, watch the interview with him WWE just posted...he's just a wicked heel, I'm so glad he won. ;D
I think Angle got taken out early because he was bound to do something crazy. He's given up EVERYTHING in his life because he wants to be the champion again, and there are whispers that his neck has gone south again. One wrong bump on the steel and he could have been seriously hurt...and you could tell he was amped up for that match. HBK was decent. Don't get me wrong, he's still one of the best, but I had this debate with a friend of mine...I think he's on a serious decline. He's put on some great matches this past year, but I think Angle has as much to do with that as Shawn does...and I mean watch him, all he does now is chop, chop, flying forearm, kick up, elbow off the top, chin music...the occassional clothesline or something. He needs to put some muscle back on his arms and chest (I'm more built that he is right now, lol) and lose the baggy leather pants, and grow the beard back...that'd give him the look back...he still has the mic skills, and he can still put on great matches, but right now he's not fit to be the champ any more.
Carlito was AWESOME...as was Chris Masters, I thought. Carlito is the next Rock, mark my words...he is gonna be HUGE. Masters is gonna be good too, but he'll probably end up a utility main eventer unless he adds something...I dunno what it is he's missing, but he's missing that special something. I hope he does well though, I like him.
So my prediction for the WM card:
HBK vs Vince McMahon (they want Bret Hart to come in and be the referee but there's no way he'll do it)
John Cena vs Triple H or Edge (I hope to God Cena isn't the champ)
Randy Orton vs Batista
Ric Flair vs Chris Masters for the IC title
Carlito vs RVD (being that Carlito attacked him on the Cabana way back at the draft lottery)
Trish Stratus vs Mickie James (these two are awesome together, this could be the Flair/Steamboat of women's wrestling)
Undertaker vs Boogeyman (someone has to lie down for Taker)
JBL vs Matt Hardy in some kind of gimmick match
Now that they've effectively killed off Angle's momentum, I dunno who they'll stick him with...maybe HBK vs Angle at Royal Rumble since HBK eliminated him. After that, I have no idea what the plan is for WrestleMania. Unless they do Cena vs HHH with no title involved, and then do Angle vs Edge for the belt?

Masters doesn't really have much in the way of character. He's the shining example of WWE's double-standard. On one hand they say "There's all these guys, they don't take their opportunities." Then they force-feed us people who CAN'T take the opportunities. When Masters came in, he received...apathy. Carlito=THE MAN. HBK... he's HBK. A decline for him puts him above most of the roster. Currently, I sincerely hope Kurt Angle retires or is made to retire. Vince will probably continue working him until he can't feel his legs, however. I am nervous every time I watch Angle wrestle, wondering if this will be the night Kurt takes his last steps. Dramatic? Maybe, but his health problems are well-documented. He's given up everything, even his wife, for this career, and it's frightening. His legacy is already cemented. Edge as champ is one of the better things they've done lately. Hopefully they don't piss it away.

There's also apparantly a major WWE star on "death watch" at the moment...WrestleZone.com had a story about it after Eddie died. Apparantly this guy is addicted to pain killers and other drugs worse than anyone ever in the business. That's saying a LOT when you think about Eddie and then Jake Roberts or Brian Pillman. I really hope it's not Kurt Angle.

Flair and Chavo Guerrero were also possible candidates.
Now let the fruitless speculation begin!
