I've got a few ideas kicking around in my head. I want to let things progress naturally... but I've got those ideas.
BWAHAHAHA.

I think A Ross Report would be a good idea, if only to sumarize things for new wrestlers. As well, I think Wrestler of the Week and Wrestler of the Month are also good ideas. I wouldn't do anything company wide in terms of angles yet, but I think if we build on the smaller things for now we'll be able to make some bigger strides later on.

I can say for sure I won't do, for big angles:
-EVIL Commissioner/GM vs some uppity rebel (No Austin/McMahon, no Cena/Bischoff, etc. It's so boring.)
-NWO style invasion or crappy WCW/ECW invasion.
Anyways!

I think In ring interviews Like a highlight reel show would be a great idea.

May I just say, nice work on the NPC page. Are all of the managers going to end up on there eventually?
I think in ring angles duing shows should be the providence of the worker and the writers. If a worker wants to do the interview/angle/ect, it should be his responsability to set it up, write it, and submit it.
Of course, that's just my two cents.

I think In ring interviews Like a highlight reel show would be a great idea. That's exactly the point of Friday Night Whyte, minus the "in-ring".

I'd like to expound on my reluctance to include too many in-rings in the results.
The shows are important. But we are not limited by three hours of TV a week to get across our angles, characters, and feuds.
In our world of e-wrestling, wrestlers tape promos all the time and they air (clearly) on some local channel or sports network that would do so. It's as if NAPW promos are being aired day in and day out, during commercial breaks, or maybe during a half-hour NAPW block. As much as I loathe to say it --- e-wrestling is Reality TV of pro wrestling.
Because we have this forum available, and because YOU have control over what your wrestlers say, do, think, etc... I don't want to have the NAPW be completely based around the show. The results are important: That's where matches are lost or won, attacks made. I don't want the show to be a string of promos because everybody sends me an in-ring.
Because you don't NEED to do an in-ring. You don't NEED to do a backstage. You can be interviewed by Josh Reynolds, or make up your own guy. You can tell stories (like Minstrel). You can do straightforward "talk to the camera" promos like The Plague did and D! often. You can do sketches like D!/Ravager together, D-X promos, or any number of promos involving more than one person. You have complete control and a thousand options to exercise in creative writing.
And, as has been done frequently, you can get in touch with other handlers --- even the people you're FIGHTING --- and work together on a promo.
I'm not saying this to say "No, I hate in-ring." I don't. MNF today was more 'sports entertainment' than any show we've done, and it was very good. That's about as much as I'd want to put on a show. I want the results to work with what happens on the boards. I want to get away from the WWE formula of twenty-minute opening promos and have a wrestling show --- particularly because we are an indie fed --- focused on WRESTLING.
NAPW is fantasy. But in this fantasy, we are professional wrestling. We're not sports entertainment.
Anyways... If I sound like I'm ranting, I don't mean it that way. I just think that within roleplays, people have done some amazing stuff, and I'd like to see it continue in that direction. Sides. I have some ideas in mind to throw every member of the NAPW into a situation where they will have to roleplay within constrictions or situations... and well, then it'll be interesting. =)

I loved the latest card because it added alot of color to the show to have a few on-card segments on there and I'd like to see it continue in that compacity, so that there is enough that enhances the card and angles... But not so much that the card gets eaten up by them and becomes anything more then what this past MNF was I agree with the idea that we're able to use our own roleplays and I think thats important (especially for a character such as mine], but I also feel its important for angles/wrestlers to have some on-card heat as well so long as it doesn't take too much away from the actual matches

I think you're right, Minstrel, and even though MNF was as "interview" heavy as it was tonight due to a)small card and b)some no shows, it really felt good. It's certainly a balance, and the hard part is telling people no when I get more than say, two. =)
D!'s point about Friday Night Whyte encapsulates much of what I'm saying. Instead of having a Highlight Reel on the show, we have a roleplay setting like D!'s Friday Night Whyte, which has so far proved fantastic.
Anyways! Good thoughts all around.

I think that's a good point, Crusher. We will have Supercards every 6-8 weeks, big shows that aren't PPVs. But it would be rad to build to show that is THE BIG DEAL. Like *THE* NAPW show.
If we're still doing this come summer, than May or so should be that.
