((("The Angry American" Matthew Kurtis and Lyndsey Valentine arrive at their Vancouver hotel and after completing check-in. start walking to their room. Along the way they start to talk about the foundation, Chad's injury, and Nightmare's state of mind...)))
LYNDSEY: Well Baby,Cold Snap's finally almost here how are you feeling?
MATTHEW: Sweetheart, I'm pumped I've not felt this way about a match in long time. The Tag Team Gauntlet is an interesting concept and there is lot to be settled in the match. Everyone is always trying to figure out what started the problems between Chad, myself, and Nightmare. To tell the truth I ain't 100 percent sure myself.
LYNDSEY: Maybe it was because you would have beaten Jeff James for the Television Championship if Castle hadn't distracted you and allowed Jeff to hit his finisher and get the win.
MATTHEW: Yeah not exactly my shining moment there. But I had considered that possibility. That would be a good reason for them not to like me,if they saw me as a threat to Jeff's,now Darko's TV Title. But if that was their motivation why did they jump Chad and not me? I really think the reason boils down to Thomas's jealousy of Jeff. I mean at the time all this started they were bickering and not getting along at all. So I think something about seeing two brothers who could both be wrestlers and not be jealous of each other set Thomas off and he had Darko for back-up.
LYNDSEY: All because Jeff was giving his opponents some respect and was making moves to strike out on his own away from the Foundation.
MATTHEW: Exactly, but that seems to have ended though and the Royal Foundation is now one big, happy Brady Bunch-like family. It's like the worst Dr. Phil Show ever. I mean they even got Dio Muerte to drink their Kool-Aid and become some kind of associate member or whatever the hell he is to them. But then again Dio Muerte for all his pride in his mind games ain't exactly a mental giant. So to fight fire with fire so to speak I went out and convinced Nightmare to lend a hand, but what was meant to be a one time deal has kinda turned into a giant cluster-(BLEEP).
LYNDSEY: No doubt. You never did tell me how and why you went out and got Nightmare to be your partner against the Foundation in the first place. I would've tagged with you against them.
MATTHEW: Well that was an option that I had in mind. Originally I wanted to face them by myself in a handicap match but the "Commish" vetoed that and said I had to have a tag team partner. So I did say you and me would face them but the "Bad Boy" nixed that too. So I just went out and found someone who hated the Foundation as much as I did and that was Nightmare. And talking him into it was no problem I basically only had to say three words "Destroy...the...Foundation" and he was all for it.
LYNDSEY: So you decided to team with him for what you thought would be one match and it turned into the mess we're in now?
MATTHEW: Yeah, thanks to our mutual hatred for the Foundation we kept getting in each other's business. So Commissioner Bad Boy decided it would be great for the six of us to battle it out at the PPV. But then last week however many voices or personalities that are in Nightmare's head told him to go nuts. So he starts smacking everyone that moves with a steel-chair including me when I try to calm him down. So now we have issues with trust there. But it's not a traditional tag team match so maybe it won't be as a big deal as everyone thinks it will be.
LYNDSEY: But what about afterward what will happen with him?
MATTHEW: Well Lynds as the old saying goes we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. My only concern right now is Nightmare's getting though Cold Snap without going postal on everyone. If that does happen...well let's just it won't be good for anyone involved. I know I'm ready and Chad's ready but Dream-boy is the big question mark. If he can hold it together Team Kurtis and him should win somewhat easily.
LYNDSEY: You and Chad could win the match yourselves if you had to. You know that,Matthew.
MATTHEW: That's true but don't underestimate the Foundation look what they have done and proven capable of. But like you said Team Kurtis is on a higher level. Even with Chad having a broken nose and having to wear that mask in the ring. But he's tougher than than his "pretty-boy" act makes you think he is. He'll prove that point as well as a few others we'll prove together at Cold Snap. Well, here's our room.
LYNDSEY: Good let's put our stuff away and get ready to go meet up with Chad.
MATTHEW: That's right we have strategy to discuss and a game-plan to make with or obviously without Nightmare. So let's get going so we get to it.
