Ravager in his hotel room in Vancouver. He has his laptop out, and is watching as the brackets are announced for the TEAM Invitational tournament. He's taking down some notes. The most clear note we can see is "Angel of Death". The room phone rings, and he answers it, but is a bit cautious, as he doesn't know who would be calling him here.
Ravager: Hello?
Josh Reynolds: So. Ready to talk about the Untouchables yet?
Pause. Ravager hangs up. And immediately dials the front desk.
Ravager: Yes. I'd like some room service sent up. I'll have chicken, the roasted potatoes, oh, and the head of whoever told Josh Reynolds what room I was in. On a platter. .. On second thought, I'd rather have the pleasure of decapitating the guy myself. ... yes, add all that to my bill. Thank you.
Ravager hangs up. Goes back to his scouting.
Cut to Ravager in a gym. He's working out, when Josh Reynolds approaches him.
Reynolds: So. Chris Casino is in the same bracket as you at the TEAM Invitational. Do you think that may make things awkward?
Cut to outside the gym. Josh Reynolds is tossed out the front door.
Cut to Ravager watching the ring crew set up for the Pay Per View. It is only hours away.
Normally I'd find silence from my opponent to be insulting. I'd think they weren't interested. Or that they thought I was an easy target. And then I'd prove them wrong. But it's a different situation now, ain't it, Evan? There's a title on the line. The biggest honor this company can bestow on a wrestler. Two men who have a huge history between each other are facing off for the right to hold that title. Two men who have a great respect for each other are facing off to be the NAPW champion. And I haven't lost respect for you Evan. Even after that shot you took at me after the match last week. I still think you're a superb athlete. And your silence can only mean one thing:
You're preparing for the fight of your life. You know that this is your chance to prove that you can beat me on your own. I'm not the only one who had doubts. I'm not the only one who thought I had you beat twice, only for someone to interfere. You need this match to prove your worth as champion. I need this match because I keep having bad days. Days that set my career back. Days that see me in the hospital getting treated for one wound or another. Days that see me on my own against the world. It's time to make up for all the bad days. For all the losses. For all the humiliations. For every doubt that people ever had about me. It's time.
Ravager moves closer to the ring.
I know what a student of the sport you are Evan. I know you've studied my matches. I know you absorbed a lot the times we faced. I know you're ready for me. And I know you have one more thing on your mind.
The Untouchables. Am I or aren't I? Is Casino telling the truth? Would Ravager sell out? I bet you think it's an easy answer. D! thought he knew it too. And then Tiffany got dropped on her head. And all his strategies went out the window. Rex thought he knew it. But then Violence Inc helped me incite a group of fans into an act of destruction never seen by this city, and he gets left in a pool of blood, and a career ends not long after. Hell, you were there Evan. You stood beside me and held people for me to hit. You know what I'll do. You know what depths I'll plunge. You know what backs I'll stab. You know that'll walk through the gates of Hell to get what I want:
I want to be the TEAM Free For All Champion. And very soon, I will be.
I want to beat Ulysis Solian at The TEAM Supershow. And I will do that by any means possible.
I want to win the TEAM invitational. I don't care how many people I have to go through. Or what tactics I have to break out, but I will win.
But all those things? They aren't what I truly hunger for. They won't ease the rumbling that I've been feeling for the last year. They're appetizers, when what I really want is a steak. As great as they are, they're only secondary to my one true desire.
The NAPW Heavyweight title. It's been almost a year since I won it. Circumstances were a bit different last time. But not by much. I'm facing a man who has proven to be dominant over me. I have the dubious distinction of being the underdog. Again. And I have people questioning my loyalties and my actions. And you know what? That works fine for me. Because I will repeat history in a few hours in that ring. I will win the title no matter what odds. And I will do it my way. I don't care if you agree with me or not. Cheer me. Boo me. But in the end, remember:
I always do what's best for business. And my business sense says that I need to be the top man in NAPW again.
Nothing personal champ.
Fade to Black.
