Scene opens as "The Show" Chad Kurtis arrives at Sutton Place in Vancouver, BC. He checks in at the desk, takes his bags to his room, and changes into his workout gear before heading down to the fitness center for some last minute training before bedtime.
Show: Here we are in Vancouver. A week before "Cold Snap"! Why I am I here so early, some may ask? Well, it's quite simple. I want to be fresh for my match. Not hung over from travel. I mean it's bad enough I got my nose re-broke and possibly another concussion thanks to Jeff James. I want to be in the best shape possible to go against "The Foundation". I am not going to let my injuries slow me down during the match. I know all the medical experts from my personal doctor to NAPW trainer say I should rest. They don't understand what it is like to be so close to a title and have your chance taken away with a cheap shot. Yeah, I'll admit that two concussions in a month time should make me think twice about climbing into the ring again so soon, but if you rest you rust! I may take sometime off after "Cold Snap", but right now only thing on my mind is bringing down "The Foundation"! Like I said I may not be 100% come "Cold Snap", but I am going to be close enough that everyone is going to be saying who is that masked man?! I may only be 75-80%, but I am going to give 150% and that will be enough for "Team Kurtis" + Nightmare to defeat "The Foundation"! Foundation you see Kentucky boys are like wolverines. You keep pushing us and we will come at you with claws and teeth! The thing is you done gone and p!ssed me off, so now I am like a wolverine with rabies, dangerous and unpredictable! Speaking of unpredictable, let's take about Nightmare. I mean this guy has gone off the deep end without a life jacket. You know what that doesn't really concern me. I mean what should it, yes one of my teammates is a little nuts, but it's "The Foundation" that he wants to destroy, so I think it will work into our game-plan just fine. Plus, my other partner is the true giant of NAPW as well as my brother, so I think the team of "Team Kurtis" + Nightmare is going to be shake things up come "Cold Snap"! So, here's a two part message from "The Show" to "The Foundation", part one...you knocked me down, but I ain't out, and like the saying goes you can't keep a good man down, and part two..."Foundation, you are the disease and I am the cure, so prepare yourself not only to be defeated, but to be humbled!
Scene fades as a member of the hotel staff comes and delivers the message to "The Show" that Sugar Ray's has decided to break protocol and let him do his training for "Cold Snap" at their boxing club.
